Here are the new TV DVDs, in stores tomorrow.I haven't jumped on the Blu-ray wagon yet. I know, I know, it's supposed to be "better," but I have all of these individual season sets that aren't Blu-ray and I don't know if I want to get rid of the older ones (or sell them) and get new ones. They'd really have to have a ton of extras (and ones that I'm interested in) on them for me to get them. A better picture doesn't really excite me. So I won't be getting the
Lost sets being released this week.
But I'm on board for season 2 of
Burn Notice!
- Burn Notice - Season 2
- Everwood - Season 2
- Family Guy - Vol. 7 and 100th Episode Celebration
- Generation Kill - Mini-Series (Blu-ray)
- House of Payne - Vol. 4

You knew it was going to happen the minute you heard
she was pregnant. Jamie Lynn Spears, the star of Nickelodeon's
Zoey 101 and sister of pop star Britney Spears,
has given birth to a baby girl.
A friend of the 17-year-old star requested anonymity for this information. The birth has not officially been announced yet, although it seems to be on all the major news outlets. Who do they think they're fooling?
The article mentions that baby-daddy is Casey Aldridge, a pipe-layer from Liberty, Mississippi. Insert your own joke here. The couple is not yet married, but announced an engagement a few months ago.
Fortunately, the fourth and final season of
Zoey 101 was completed before Jamie Lynn became pregnant. Had she not become pregnant, would it truly have been the final season?
Mind you, this now frees up some time for Jamie Lynn. Maybe she can follow in her sister's footsteps and get a
guest spot on How I Met Your Mother?

Looks like everybody was chasing Zoey this week, and not just the paparazzi. The Nickelodeon show got the top two spots in viewers (a movie and a regular episode of the show), knocking Monday Night RAW down a bit. TNT did really well with the NBA Playoffs.

Wait, no SpongeBob SquarePants this week? Actually, two episodes of the show just missed making the top 10. Probably because a certain cranky doctor named House decided to go on a rampage this week and take up three spots. The NBA Playoffs are rather popular too.

A real mix of stuff this week: wrestling, the election cartoons, legal dramas, and a teen sitcom. CNN got three of the top ten spots for its election coverage on Super Tuesday (the different entries represent different times during the night). FOX News got one of the spots too. Not sure why MSNBC didn't get into the top ten, but I guess there's not enough room when the same coverage by CNN takes up three of the slots.
Oh, and Chicken Little got into the top ten too.

I think I speak for most readers here when I ask...what the hell is Minutemen? Did Disney make some historical movie? Actually, checking online I see that it's a "adventure-comedy-sci-fi" movie. It got the number one slot this week, as well as the number ten slot. Zoey 101 got the second and third slots, probably because people were tuning in to see "hey, is she pregnant yet??"

Jamie Lynn Spears is
returning for the fourth season of Zoey 101, despite the sixteen-year-old's public announcement of her pregnancy. This was intended to be the final season even before the announcement was made.
The season was filmed last summer, but there was concern that Nickelodeon would shelve it due to the controversy. Since Spears announced her pregnancy, the show has experienced a boost in ratings.

How do you compete when your older sister is Britney Spears? Little Jamie Lynn, a mere 16 years old, has topped her sister's head-shaving and child services investigation antics with this bombshell:
SHE'S PREGNANT.
Jamie Lynn is the star of Nickelodeon's
Zoey 101, a show that I have never seen but assume is for the pre-teen set. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that show is probably canceled. Nickelodeon's official statement is in support of Jamie Lynn and "her decision to take responsibility in this sensitive and personal situation."
The baby daddy is Jamie Lynn's boyfriend, Casey Aldridge. She met him at church.
Somebody needs go give grandma Lynn Spears a drink. Or a parenting class.

It's almost hard to believe that SpongeBob SquarePants has been around for eight years, but it has. If any of you were afraid the eternally-optimistic invertebrate might be going away, don't fret: Nick has ordered up thirteen new episodes of the series for the 2008 season.
I was a big fan of SpongeBob from the very beginning (I actually have a SpongeBob mug with water in it sitting next to me at this very moment), but I'll admit I don't tune in as much as I used to. I'll still Tivo the show on occasion, though, and it still makes me laugh.
