Here are the new TV DVDs, in stores tomorrow.
I should be happy when there are a ton of new DVDs but nothing I want to buy, because I'll save some money. But this has been happening a lot lately. I mean, there must be something being released soon that I must own. I might have to get the
Return of the Man From U.N.C.L.E. movie if it wasn't included in the complete series set I have.
Kinda amazed that
My Two Dads has been released on DVD, though I shouldn't be because it seems like a lot of shows are making their way to DVD now. It makes me hopeful that other sitcoms from that era will be released too.
- 7th Heaven - Season 8
- Chowder - Vol. 2
- Doctor Who - The Androids of Tara, Key To Time, The Armageddon Factor, The Power of Kroll, The Pirate Planet, The Stones of Blood, and The Ribos Operation (all Special Editions)

Holy frik! We've only just started to embrace the return of our shows after a shortened strike season. Now, they are almost over. In the next few weeks all of our network favorites will say good-bye for the summer to be replaced with reality shows, reality game shows, reality soap operas, and Regis on primetime (again).
Needless to say, I'm a bit depressed. As I am sure you are as well. But, we will do our duty and press on. Thusly, we here at the sprawling lakefront offices of TV Squad (you choose the lakefront) have compiled list of when your favorite, and not so favorite, shows will be saying good-bye for their summer vacation. As usual, taking the fickleness of the networks, these times and days can change at a moment's notices. We will try to update you of those changes as quickly as our little fingers can type it out.
So, with a leaden heart, here are your season and series finales.

In breaking news,
movie and television studio Lionsgate has struck a deal with the WGA. In an official statement from the company, the deal was called an "interim agreement."
With Lionsgate reaching a deal with the writers, it wouldn't be surprising if more studios made agreements with them so as to compete. This could lead to a more rapid end to the strike, which would make me much happier.

It seems that ABC Family has found its niche when it comes to original programming: focusing the teen and female teen markets. It has done this for Wildfire, Kyle XY and now, it seems, for the new dramedy Greek.
After posting a season high last week in several key demos, including teens and female teens, ABC Family has decided to order the back 10 episodes of Greek. The original order was for 10 episodes. The new shows, are set to air early in 2008.
Greek airs on Mondays at 9 pm and focuses on a college freshman and his sister as they venture through the fraternity and sorority system. I have never watched the show, so I'd like to know from the viewers out there if it should be given another episode run.

ABC Family doesn't get the kind of press that some of their edgier neighbors on the cable box enjoy, but I do appreciate that they make their own original programming, especially their penchant for casting Charisma Carpenter. They could have gone the easy route and given us endless reruns of
Reba and
Home Improvement.
Tonight they kick off their latest entry,
Greek. The dramedy (their description) is set at the fictitious Cyprus-Rhodes University and is said to follow the social minefield of the greek system.
