Not a day goes by that I don't thank my lucky stars that I get to live in the greatest country on earth during the greatest time to be alive. I think even the harshest critic of the current world order would agree with me when I say that there's not a single problem anywhere in the world that anyone is dealing with.
But how did we get here? What was the spark that spurred us from barely cognizant man-apes into the enlightened, elegant creatures that we are today? Look no further than that great black monolith sitting in your living room: your TV. Five VERY SPECIAL EPISODES that saved society after the jump...

Hollywood people are strange folk. In the normal world people who are sacked by the company they worked for wouldn't normally return to it in another capacity, especially if they were treated poorly during their employment. After his critically-acclaimed and fan-favorite comedy Arrested Development was unceremoniously canceled by FOX in 2006 you would think that he wouldn't step anywhere near the network. In fact, you would think that he would jump to another network and make it big just to rub it in FOX's face. Yet, there is news that he is directing a comedy pilot for them. Go figure.

Now if they would just bring back Silver Spoons and It's Your
Move we could complete the Jason Bateman 80s TV Trinity. For now, however, we'll have to
settle with the fact that ABC Family plans to air reruns of The Hogan Family, the series that was
originally called Valerie and Valerie's Family before Valerie Harper left the show and was replaced
by Sandy Duncan. In fact, don't expect to see Valerie Harper at all, as the network only plans to show episodes
from the third season on. The show will return on April 3.
Update: The Valerie
Harper seasons will air after all, but not until after the first rotation.
