Pop culture lists that have 100 or more entries, whether it's a list for television, film, music, books, advertising, whatever - are too long. When you list 100 of anything, you're not really getting down to the "best" (or "worst," if that's the theme of the list), you're just giving a list of 100.
Supertremendous.com has their list of the
100 most iconic TV show intros. You can read the first 90, but I wanted to concentrate on
the top ten. That list includes
The Brady Bunch,
The Simpsons,
M*A*S*H,
Knight Rider (???), and
The Twilight Zone, along with the number one pick after the jump. Can you guess it before you click?

Warning: what follows might be a little NSFW (yet really funny).
We review a lot of shows here at TV Squad, and the writers and readers often pick out something in the show that we don't like (even if we love the show in general). So
what if the title cards/logos of each show actually told the truth, letting you know what the show is like even before you watch it?
Well, as you can see from the
Heroes title card above, we find out that nobody ever dies on the show (or at the least, if they do they can come back to life). This is one of the things wrong with the show, even if I still love it. If no one ever really dies then where's the risk?
After the jump, some more logos from your favorite show that tell the truth. I especially like the one for
Mad Men. Someone should make a t-shirt with that on it.

Lee Goldberg blames William Simon for turning him on to YouTube, and now I'm blaming Lee Goldberg for ruining the rest of my work day.
Goldberg has started a new blog,
Main Title Heaven. It's a blog filled with clips of the opening titles to various TV shows, both old and new. Not just the most popular, famous ones (though he has stuff like
Magnum, P.I.,
I Dream of Jeannie, and the original
Battlestar Galactica), but also little gems you might not think of, like
Banacek,
Raven,
Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea,
Man From Atlantis,
The Magician,
Seaquest,
It Takes A Thief, and
Mannix. He's gotta get that other version of the
Flipper theme up though.
This site will suck up all of your time today and bring back a lot of memories. Hey, remember when TV shows actually had theme songs and openings?
