A family in Tennessee with too much free time or money or both decided that they weren't content with throwing a 120-inch screen and projector into their home theater, so they created an entire room designed around a
Titanic theme.
The 20 by 14 foot room includes over a thousand fiber optic light strands to mimic the night sky, a rather fancy looking dome, sound baffling to deal with the acoustic problems inherent with a domed roof, and a Vidikron Model 30 ET projector.
The receiver, DVD player, and most of the electronic equipment are hidden, but the things about these anachronistic rooms is there's never a good way to make your fancy universal remote control look like it fits in with the surroundings. That's something you don't really have to worry about if you're going for a space age feel, say with a
Star Trek home theater.

Not all of it works (I, for one, was a fan of the Dave/Lisa romance, and breaking them up and then having them switch jobs put the show out of whack in a way), but this set is a lot of fun.
