(S15E13) Well, this is it. Who's going to win it all on
Survivor China -- the schemer, the lunch lady, the beauty queen, or the waitress long shot? Now, if I were a wagering woman, I could have won some money on this one. As with the first season with Richard Hatch, I picked the winner from the first episode. So, I'm two for fifteen. I guess I should ask Jean-Robert how those odds do in the real world, eh?
Ah, but I won't say a word about the winner before the jump. I know how dangerous that can be.
But I was right. 'Nuff said.

(S15E08) Last week the tribes (Zhan Hu and Fei Long) merged on
Survivor China. Jaime was voted off and became the first member of the jury. That would lead us to this week with fewer members of the weaker Zhan Hu tribe, especially since Frosti has all but become a Fei Long since he was kidnapped. Fei Long has the numbers and the strength to survive challenges.
So, that would leave us with the real question at hand going into tonight's episode ...
Will the ex-Fei Long members pick off the ex-Zhan Hu members one by one, leaving Frosti for last out of a sense of loyalty? Or, will they turn on their own numbers to eliminated a threat?

(S15E06) Now that I've been reviewing
Survivor: China using the actual episode titles, I have to worry that the world might run out of exclamation points. Everything is always so ... so ... emphatic in these titles. Perhaps the castaways, Courtney in particular, should save energy and not exclaim so much. I mean, after all, there has to be wasted calories, right? Todd doesn't have much meat on his bones, either.
At least it won't be a reenactment of the
Donner Party, I guess. Although that might be better than the seasonal gross foods challenge which took place in tonight's episode.

(S15E01) I think it might take me a bit longer to warm up to this latest season of
Survivor. Don't get me wrong -- I am indeed an addict. But I miss the days of the two-hour premiere. When it's all over and the first boot is at the end of an hour, I feel strangely unfulfilled.
Oh, I'm entertained. I definitely see some interesting possibilities coming from the China setting and the castaways themselves. But, after tonight's episode, I have some reservations, too.

Okay, I'm the kind of person who likes to take a quick peek at the end of a novel as I'm reading it. For some reason it doesn't seem to spoil the journey along the way for me. Perhaps I'm impatient; perhaps I just want to assure myself it will be worth the trip. I just don't know.
I'm the same way with my favorite television shows. Sing along with me ...
Listen ... oo-ah-oo
Do you want to know some spoilers ... oo-ah-oo
Do you promise not to tell ... oo-ah-oo
Closer, let me whisper in your ear ...
Beware --
extreme Survivor China spoilers after the jump!

Say it ain't so!
Survivor China (as well as every other season) host Jeff Probst recently
answered some questions posed by TV Tattler's Angel Cohn. Now, are there folks who watch the show just to see scantily-clad women? Who out there does that?
I realize the main reason that they don't shoot the show in a colder environment is because the castaways would have to be all bundled up and that's apparently bad for television ratings. How shallow have we become?
Jeff answered some questions about the clothing -- or lack thereof -- in the interview and I bring to you those answers ... and my two cents!

While I see that others here in the TV Squad offices have their
Early Looks screeners, I chose to review two shows which haven't issued advance copies of the premieres --
Kid Nation and
Survivor: China. So I couldn't take the easy route. I had to do research; woe is me. Indeed.
The season premiere is this Thursday at 8 PM ET/PT in most viewing areas. But here I am without a real preview, so I'll dance around a bit. Or, better yet, I've read through all the content at the
CBS website, watched all the videos on site, and I come to you with the tribes and my quick take on the castaways. The latter could be very off and I reserve the right to change my mind if my early favorites aren't what they seem on first impression.
