Our Monday morning roundup of a half dozen things TV Squad readers - and TV fans in general - will be talking about this week.
1. Emmy Awards. Fingers crossed that
'Til Death wins a special award. Oh please oh please oh please oh please. (Sunday at 7 on ABC - we'll have live blog coverage!)
2. House season premiere. I'm just guessing, but I bet there's some mystery illness and House figures it out. (Tuesday at 8 on FOX.)
3. It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia season premiere. I haven't seen this show but the new commercials actually make me want to check it out. (Thursday at 10 on FX.)
4. Burn Notice season finale. Doesn't it seem like the season just started? (Thursday at 10 on USA.)
5. Supernatural season premiere. Yes, Dean is alive and well (?). (Thursday at 9 on The CW.)
6. The Closer season finale. Actually, maybe that should say
The The Closer season finale. (Tonight at 9 on TNT.)

Here are the new TV DVDs, in stores tomorrow.Wait a second:
Honey West is out on DVD?! And it's not even one of those lame "Season 1, Volume 2" deals it's an actual complete series? I never thought this show would come out on DVD (
Quark I thought might because of its cult status), but I find myself saying that less and less these days, and that's a good thing.
As for
It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown, that's not one of my favorite animated holiday specials, but I think I'll get it so I can say I have them all.
- Arthur - Season 11
- Big Bang Theory - Season 1
- Charlie Brown - It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown
- Cheers - Season 10
- Desperate Housewives - Season 4
- Doctor Who - The Invisible Enemy with K9 and Company: A Girl's Best Friend and The Invasion of Time
- Eli Stone - Season 1
- Faerie Tale Theatre - Complete Series
- Ghost Hunters - Live
- Ghost Whisperer - Season 3
- Honey West - Complete Series
- Life - Season 1
- Little People, Big World - Season 2, Vol. 1
- Living with Ed - Season 2
- The Office - Season 4
- Quark - Complete Series
- Supernatural - Season 3

When you're a ratings-challenged fledgling network like the
CW, you're going to do anything you can to get a leg up on the competition. Releasing
sex-filled advertisements for your most high-profile show is a good start, but that alone won't get the job done. To that end, the CW has just announced that it's moving its fall premiere dates up to September 1st, well ahead of the beginning of the traditional broadcast season.
The idea behind the move is that you're already going to be hooked on
Gossip Girl and
Top Model by the time the other networks get around to premiering their fall shows, sometime around mid-to-late September. The season isn't the only thing the CW is starting early, however. Starting in November, they're also extending prime time, with original programming beginning at 6:30 on Sunday nights.
Check out CW's full premiere schedule after the jump.

(S01E03) Nope, this isn't
Eureka, and that isn't the friendly Sheriff Carter up there. But it is
Eureka's Colin Ferguson, and with Clifton Collins Jr. he has created a truly chilling installment in NBC's increasingly "must see" horror anthology
Fear Itself. Well, much of the credit to the success of this episode belongs at the feet of Dan Knauf, who proved himself an absolute master of the macabre with his darkly brilliant HBO series
Carnivále. He's also been a writer for
Supernatural, so this stuff is clearly old hat for him.
And I'm pleased to say that the "old pro" really came through with "Family Man." Easily the best episode of the young season so far and one of the best stand-alone hours of any anthology series I think I've ever seen. Ferguson, who we've come to know and love for playing the nice guy really shines here. And due to the complexity of the story, both he and Collins get a real chance to flex their acting muscles to brilliant effect. From the chilling scenes at home to the overwhelming drama in the prison, each moment propelled the story forward. The only thing that blows me away is that director Ronny Yu, who does wonderfully here, has
Freddy vs. Jason and
Bride of Chucky as his horror directing pedigree.
