Kristy Swanson and Lloyd Eisler are the new parents of a baby boy. The couple met on Fox's
Skating with Celebrities in late 2005. At the time, Eisler's current wife was pregnant with the couple's second child. But Eisler says they had already separated before he and Kristy
hooked up. It became pretty obvious about halfway through the series that something had happened between Kristy and Lloyd.
The couple's baby is named Magnus Hart Swanson Eisler. He was 7 pounds, 11 ounces. The couple plans to marry but have not announced a date.

Michelle Kwan, you just gave up your Olympic dream.
What are you going to do next? After Michelle dropped out of the Olympics this week (because of strained muscles), she
turned down NBC's offer to stick around
as a commentator, but
she
accepted Disney's multi-year offer to be its spokesperson. 25-year-old Michelle will appear in Disney television and
print ads and will even be included in some original programming, though it's not clear what that entails. I didn't
realize this, but Michelle Kwan has a history with Disney which includes a series of fictional books called,
Michelle Kwan Presents Skating Dreams.

We're down to three teams: Kristy Swanson and Lloyd
Eisler, Jillian Barberie and John Zimmerman, and Bruce Jenner and Tai Babilonia. I think it's pretty obvious who the
weak skaters are here, but we'll see what happens on the ice.
Just a quick recap: last week we bid farewell
to the not-very-graceful Dave Coulier and Nancy Kerrigan. Before that, Deborah Gibson and Kurt Browning were out, and
the first team eliminated was Todd Bridges and Jenni Meno.

Most of the action today is going to be on
the ice, in the form of figure skating and speed skating. Figure skating pairs begin competition with the short
program. Expect to hear a lot from the commentators about how the judging has changed since Salt Lake, when Canadian
and Russian pairs ended up sharing the gold medal. Also today,
Chad Hedrick begins his quest for five gold medals
in speed skating. Plus, the Americans face the very strong Chinese women in freestyle skiing. All the high profile
events will air during NBC primetime.
Here's the schedule:

That's 17.3 days of Olympics coverage, people. And most of it is going to be focused on figure skating. The Olympics
run for 17 days (from February 10-26), but NBC will not be playing the events around-the-clock. Instead, it will spread
its coverage out during daytime, primetime, and late night viewing hours on six stations: NBC, USA, MSNBC, CNBC, NBC HD,
and Universal HD. In comparison, NBC had 375.5 hours of coverage during the Salt Lake City winter games four years
ago.
Bob Costas will return as primetime host for the winter games, his seventh year with NBC Sports. And,
to feed the needs of all those ice skating fans, Dick Buttons will host
Olympic Ice, a daily report on the
games' most popular sport. NBC is also prominently featuring David Pelletier and Jamie Sale in their coverage. The
Canadian couple, who just got married, were a crowd favorite in 2002 when they ended up tying for gold with the Russian
pairs skaters.
