TV Squad -- at least the part consisting of Joel Keller and myself -- recently visited the set of
Scrubs, and were lucky enough to score interviews with Zach Braff (J.D.), Sarah Chalke (Elliot), and Bill Lawrence, the creator and executive producer. The hardest part about doing this video is not revealing who dies in the episode that was being shot. Seriously, it's driving me a bit mental. However, NBC lawyers and corporate drones would descend upon us so fast if we were to reveal which long-time cast member unfortunately passes away in the episode. So, we'll keep mum.
Scrubs has been shooting for six seasons now, and has an extremely tight cast and crew. However, they couldn't have been nicer to us, and we were treated to a fun day on set. In between takes, we picked up some interviews that drop hints at a possible seventh season, insights into the characters, and even some news about the
Nobody's Watching show. Looks like a special on NBC is in the works!
Watch the video after the jump, and also check out
AOL's gallery of photos from the very same set visit. We really want one of those Dr. Kelso paintings hanging in the palatial TV Squad lobby. He manages to look both regal and downtrodden at the same time.

Actually, that's not entirely true. If you read the account from Digital Spy of Jennifer Love Hewitt's chat with talk show host Megan Mullally, she talks about lights moving slightly and some lights exploding, and how it sometimes scares actors playing guest roles on her CBS series Ghost Whisperer. She further states that the people who work on the show think such occurrences are "awesome" and that maybe there really are ghosts on the set. That doesn't sound to me like she's claiming anything about the set being haunted, it sounds more like people jokingly blaming any weird occurrence on ghosts the same way everyone else does. You know, the wind will blow a door open and you'll tell your kid it was a ghost just to give him a fun scare? Yeah, like that. You can't really blame them though, since saying something like, "These lights may have been exposed to moisture which caused them to explode!" isn't quite as exciting as imaging some wandering spirit who for some reason spends all their free time walking around making light bulbs blow up. if that's the afterlife, I gotta say it doesn't sound that interesting. I can make glass explode now, and I'm not even dead.

I think it's a sign that the franchise is dead. Dead bodies keep turning up around
CSI sets.
Last week it was in the building where
CSI:NY was filming in Los Angeles. A near-mummified body was discovered by the landlord as crews were filming on a different floor. This time, it's
CSI: Miami. A dead body washed up on a beach in Biscayne Bay in Miami that crews were using as a staging area for helicopter shots of an investigation scene. Miami police pretty much shrugged it off, saying that homeless people or boaters tend to fall into the bay this time of year. Neither death is considered suspicious, proving that actual crime scene investigation isn't nearly as cool as Jerry Bruckheimer makes it out to be.

Back in May I relayed
information from Muppet News Flash about the upcoming second season of
Fraggle Rock on DVD. Well, now we have a little more information on the set, which is set to be released on September 5. It looks like the set will include cast and crew interviews, though I'm not sure if those will be the same ones mentioned by Muppeteer Steve Whitmire or not (see other
post). The four-disc set will include all twenty-four episodes from season two, and, perhaps best of all, a tribute to the late
Jerry Juhl, a writer who has worked with the Muppets since the very beginning on shows such as
Sesame Street,
The Muppet Show, the
Muppet movies, and
Fraggle Rock, of course.

How would you like to have the coffee table from
That '70s Show? Or maybe Kitty's crockpot? Then again, maybe you're more of a
Malcolm in the Middle fan and want to own the couch from the living room set? If any of these props (and others) sound cool to you, Mr and Mrs. Moneybags, you should check out
this auction going on right now over on eBay. This is a charity auction, and proceeds from the
That '70s Show stuff will go to The Young Storytellers Foundation while money made off props from
Malcolm in the Middle will go to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The auction ends May 17.

Well, she didn't cut it on purpose, although that would have
made a more interesting story. I'm always interested in people who jab their eyes with shards of glass on purpose, but
in this instance it was simply a matter of a light bulb exploding on the set of Desperate Housewives and glass
getting into Teri Hatcher's eye and scratching her cornea. This could have been serious, of course, but she's
apparently in good condition after visiting an eye doctor, save for the eye patch she has to wear. Not many people know
this, but exploding light bulbs actually kill twenty million people every year. It is second only to being hit in the
head by a potato while riding a bicycle. Really, check any medical journal.

Simpsons merchandise has been around since the show began,
so when new toys based on the show and its characters come out, anyone who isn't a collector probably doesn't get too
excited. Nevertheless, I think the latest Simpsons figures from McFarlane Toys are really cool. The new
"Family Couch Gag" set contains all the family
members (including Santa's Little Helper and Snowball II) and their famous red couch. Each character has
magnets inside them so you can recreate your own "couch gag" like the ones that kick off the beginning of
each episode. The new toy will be released in May.

Filming on the
Lost set
was halted last week when two girls swam up to the remote set's beach and walked out of the surf buck nekid begging for acting jobs and autographs.
I imagine the guys on the set were really loving thier jobs that day.
