I'm torn: is a reality show about divorcees helping their ex-spouses find a new love really uplifting or really creepy and disturbing?
I guess it doesn't matter what I think, because Bravo has given the "go ahead" to Take My Ex, a new reality series pilot in which divorced couples help their former spouses find love again. After all, who better to find you the man or woman of your dreams than the person you divorced because they themselves couldn't meet your emotional needs?

The Onion's AV Club always does a good job of coming up with pop culture lists that have a good sense of a medium's history, not just listing things to generate controversy. For instance, they won't say that The White Stripes were better than The Beatles just to see what kind of pissed-off response they're going to get.
This list from last week, about the game shows they'd love to see return to the air, is no exception. Not only do they include the old favorites like
Match Game,
TattleTales, and
To Tell the Truth, but a couple of obscure ones, like
Hot Potato, Go and
Second Chance (which was a forerunner to
Press Your Luck). All of the items are accomapnied by video clips from YouTube, so you can get a good feeling for each show. My favorite obscure show on the list was
Whew!, where a contestant had to traverse a "gauntlet of villains" in the bonus game. It was a set-sized nightmare that was more show than game. The clip reminded me that I was transfixed by this show as an 8-year-old. But I hadn't quite gotten into baseball yet, so my taste was questionable at the time.
Anyway, which games shows do
you want to be revived? Let me know in the comments.

According to
Cynopsis, NBC will announce today that it has ordered six episodes of
Nobody's Watching, a series initially rejected by the WB that found a
new life on YouTube. NBC actually rejected the series before WB had a chance to also pass on it, but apparently its popularity on the video sharing site must have changed the network's mind. The series was created by
Scrubs creator Bill Lawrence and two of the writers of
Family Guy. The pilot on YouTube has some funny moments, but I really don't see it taking off as a bona fide television series. Frankly, I think NBC made the right decision passing on this in the first place. Then again, I could be wrong, so I guess we'll see. The network is also creating a bunch of viral videos to promote the show online.
