(S03E05) The predictability of
Dexter really comes into play in tonight's episode. All season, they've been setting us up for things that took place tonight. I've always said that although
Dexter can be predictable, for some reason, it never ruins the suspense of the show.
And that stands true tonight. We knew nearly everything that was going to happen, yet still I sat breathless, watching with my mouth hanging open, as the episode unfolded. Predictable? Yep. Boring? Never.

(S03E04) I'm really enjoying
Dexter this season, so far. Although it seems to have a slightly different tone than past seasons, it continues to hold my rapt attention with its amazing character development and intricate plotlines.
Last week's episode was my favorite one this season. Was tonight's as good? Yes, but in a very different way from last week's episode. We got humor and suspense last week; this week, many little subplots setting the stage to go deeper in future episodes.

Dexter to be the funniest so far. I know they aren't exactly going for a dramedy here, but the comedic relief in tonight's episode was priceless. Then again, when Dexter brutally strangles someone, I suppose we needed the change in mood.
The best part? Dexter's voiceovers. Voiceovers can be a tricky thing, and of the shows I watch, only
Dexter and
Burn Notice get it right. The title of the episode is reflected throughout the voiceovers, with lion and hunting comparisons while Dexter is interacting with the pedophile. These are tightly written and woven seamlessly throughout the episode.

Arguably the best show on television (in fact, it's killer!), it is no mystery why I have been looking forward to the start of
Dexter, season three. Top-notch writing, geared toward viewers with a brain and a personality, has always been
Dexter's M.O. I'm happy to say this continues in season three.
I've been lucky enough to see the first four episodes of the season, and you really, really don't want to miss them. Really. They continue where season two left off, and I surely don't miss the obnoxious, vile Lilah. I don't want to give anything away, but here are some tidbits:
