Tracy Morgan is a busy man. Along with his role on the NBC comedy 30 Rock, now entering its third season, Tracy is also taking on the reigns of host of the SciFi Channel program Scare Tactics, also in its third season. Premiering on July 9th, Scare Tactics is a hidden-camera, reality-comedy hybrid that allows friends and loved ones to set up unsuspecting victims into a series of horror hoaxes that are staged with movie-style special effects and makeup.
Earlier this week, Tracy, who is the third host of the program after Shannen Doherty and Stephen Baldwin hosted the first two seasons, joined Tactics' Executive Producer Scott Hallock on a conference call to talk about this upcoming season.

Psych is coming back! Starting on July 18th, the comedy starring James Roday and Dule Hill will be returning to USA Network with all new episodes. The third season of this series looks to be a very interesting one, as viewers will finally get to meet Shawn Spencer's long-lost mother as well as get to see a more dramatic side of the character ... something we got a taste of during the last few episodes of last season.
The two stars of Psych got together with the press last week to touch on a number of subjects. Topics included a preview of the upcoming season, a discussion about the duo's "Ebony & Ivory" commercial, Roday's appearance on the NBC anthology Fear Itself, and the never-ending 1980s references that the two spout during each episode.

Fans of drug-related jokes, unapologetic ignorance, and illiteracy rejoice! The season three DVD set of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia will hit store shelves on Tuesday, September 9th according to TV Shows on DVD.
Unlike the massive wait we all had to endure before the double release for seasons one and two, this time it isn't so bad. Season three really advanced the show in my opinion, as it featured some of the series' best episodes to date and covered such diverse topics as dumpster babies, retards, and setting people on fire. Not to mention Charlie's superb Pacino as Serpico impersonation. Endless classic moments and infinite replay value.
Though, if you ask me, that's not the best news. There's still no air date yet for the upcoming 13-episode fourth season. Could this be an indication? Typically, DVD releases coincide with the return of new episodes. With The Shield returning on Tuesday, Sept. 2nd, FX would have a nice one-two punch airing It's Always Sunny later in the week. That would make sense too. If I recall, the last season held off its premiere until the fall in the hopes that viewership from the back-on-campus college crowd would help to bolster numbers.

I could be wrong here, but I think most fans of
Veronica Mars felt that season three was clearly its weakest. For me, in fact, the third season was so disappointing that I wasn't going to even bother completing my DVD collection for the series.
Now that I've gotten to take an early look at the
Veronica Mars season three DVD set, I'm going to say that if you were also thinking of not grabbing this set, you may want to reconsider.

Way back on September 30, 2005, the web site
TV Shows on DVD announced that the third season of one of my favorite TV shows,
Once and Again, would be available for sale in a 19-episode, multi-disc set, complete with actor commentaries and a blooper video. They even released an image of the DVD box.
Then a funny thing happened on the way to the DVD shelves. Disney pulled the plug and indefinitely suspended the release of the award-winning show's (premature) final season.

(S03E23) Here's something I found odd about tonight's episode, though not really having to do with it being a season finale. Why is it that a seemingly not-so-well-off Cuban couple can go through great pains to find House, and yet this is what I believe to be the first time a foreign patient has sought out House's expertise?

(S03E03) Finally, a new episode for me. Hey, it's harder than you think when you watch the first two episodes over a month ago. I feel a lot better about this season after seeing this episode. I didn't get the feeling like they were rushing us through the main mystery of this portion of the season, and instead we had a nice mini mystery thrown in.

(S03E02) As you can see, the writers are quickly moving along the first mystery of the season. No more episodes thrown in that have only little or nothing to do with the big mystery of the season, which I think is a little sad. Given that last week's numbers were lower than we'd like, I'm nervous. Real nervous.

A few people pointed out in the
season premiere review of
Battlestar Galactica that Jammer might very well be a not-as-of-yet revealed Cylon. The tell-tale proof seems to be during the NCP graduation ceremony, where Duck detonates a bomb planted on himself that decimates everything and everyone in the area (or at least a great lot of them). The image above is taken from that very graduation, where Duck passes by Jammer. Obviously by the look on Jammer's face, he recognizes Duck, but does he figure out what's going on and hoof it out of there? Well, the next image may say he didn't.

(S03E01/S03E02) I felt like Col. Tigh this summer, making hash marks on a dirty cell wall, waiting for the new season to finally start. 134 days on New Caprica, according to Roslin. Right off the bat you had to be excited as hell for this episode. The haunting music, the quick shots of people we can't quite make out ... and some we can make out pretty well. Saul, as we see, has come under some pretty tough times, sporting not only some significant facial hair but also a patch, as he's sans one eye. And as it seems, he's also sans wife, though he doesn't know it quite yet.

(S03E01) It was interesting watching this episode for the second time with a fresh pair of eyes. I still need to hold off on saying too much until after next week's episode, as it's there where I felt we get a feel for the flow of the season.
Now, thankfully, I can discuss this episode with the rest of you and see what you're thoughts were on a few things.

The premiere of season three of
Lost is still a few weeks away, Wednesday October 4th in case you forgot, but that shouldn't stop anyone from speculating about what is going on with those crazy kids from that ill fated Oceanic flight. ABC has released a new promo to help get you started. You can watch the video after the jump, but if you really want to get into the nitty gritty of it, the fine folks over at
dharmasecrets have screen caps of all the little jump-cut bits. They also have a fairly extensive collection of other season three promotional media. One interesting thing I saw was the list of authors for the first six episodes. Carlton Cuse or Damon Lindelof have written five of them. I think that bodes well for the continuity of the show.

When I returned home last night, a package awaited me that I later knew would most definitely define a good portion of the near midnight hours of my night; a large, thin, hard bound book containing beautiful pictures, text and DVDs for the first four episodes of
Battlestar Galactica's third season.
It's extremely difficult to tell you too much about the new season and the episodes I watched without spoiling things for you, especially when I'm such a hardcore member of
Spoilers Anonymous as it is. Sorry in advance if I'm giving too little or too much away, but I think this will be a good start to get you even more excited for the new season, which starts Friday, October 6.

(S03E08) A friend and I were talking about a third woman, one who's involved with a volunteer organization. "I want my donation to be therapy for her!" said the friend. This week's episode of The 4400 opens that delicious possibility: the ability to force therapy onto someone. Oh, were it only true! I totally would have stolen that lady's herbs, too.
As it turns out, the therapy isn't always beneficent. Three people commit suicide at the opening of the show, haunted too cruelly by figures from their past. This sends Tom and Diana into a quest to find the source of the hallucinations -- a brand-new street drug called "Blink" -- and quash their own demons, personified by Tom's dead father and Diana's old fiancé.
Speaking of fiancés. The plot took its most delicious turn yet.

(S03E06) Last week there were arguments. I said the wrapup was too neat. Some of you said no, I just didn't get it -- there was complexity. Things might not be as they seemed. And I'm happy to ring the bell of correct-ness. Ding ding ding! az1324 called it: Matthew was sent back from the future to work for the "other side." Whatever the other side, is.
Indeed, much to my delight we're given ever more conundrums in The 4400. It does seem as if Isabelle has redressed her "angel of death" moniker, although she is causing quite a bit of murder and mayhem as she turns the gifts of the Nova Group members against them. Perhaps we should replace the "of death" in her title, in fact, with "avenging."
Add Alana -- who through her work with students in the 4400 school, finds the man who killed her first husband and son -- to the list of AA members. And when we're talking 4400, AA stands for Avenging Angel.
