Snuggie. For. Dogs. I really feel like anything I write after that is just superfluous. So, yes, everybody has written
about the Snuggie, ha ha ha. America is fat and lazy and will soon be taken over by the far more efficient Chinese.
But these are all known facts. Ever since
Ronald Reagan declared ketchup as a vegetable, the cat's kind of been out of the bag on the whole "America is fat" tip. So when I saw the ad for the Snuggie, my reaction was simply, "meh." Actually, that's a lie. My reaction was, "Dude. That's awesome. Blankets 24/7!" But after I sobered up, it went back to, "meh."

One of the most recognizable figures in ABC News is saying goodbye to the daily grind. In his time with the network, Sam Donaldson has done it all, investigative reporter, anchor, host, talking head, and always with a distinctive, pugnacious style. After four decades at the job,
ABC's Sam Donaldson is retiring.
He will be missed, especially at the network. Anchorman Charles Gibson acknowledged as much when he told the
Washington Post that Donaldson's retirement "really is a loss of the bedrock" for ABC. These days, the big three have struggled to maintain their dominance in the news business with cable outlets offering so much blanket coverage compared to the nets. Sam Donaldson has been synonymous with ABC. He can't help but be missed. To this day, I think Ted Koppell is missed as well.

Now that we have all these fancy-wancy computers, it's easy to make funny videos like the one I've placed below, but this particular one was created in the late '80s, and no doubt took a long time to create. It's also one of the most hysterical things I've seen in a long time.
The video is an anti-drug promo with Ronald and Nancy Reagan, creatively edited into a call for more widespread drug use, especially among children. Yes, the video is manipulated to make it appear as if Ron and Nancy are advocates of drug use, but if you pay close attention, you'll also learn how important freedom is to this nation, especially the freedom to have less freedom.
The video is a little over seven minutes long, but trust me, it's worth it to sit through the whole thing. I laughed so hard the people in the apartment next to mine probably think I'm insane.
