Okay, this was reported on a site known for news relating to the porn industry (needless to say, it's NSFW), but it's too good not to mention. It seems that a porn actress named Raquel Devine and reality-TV star and former Partridge Family icon Danny Bonaduce are planning to open a restaurant. The hook is that the restaurant will be billed as anti-celebrity and anti-Hollywood.

This episode was like the Lost of reality cooking show episodes. It not only had one twist ending, it actually had two or three. I'm not sure if what Chef Ramsay did at the end of the show was to really shake things up and see if the teams can get better than they are now or just to shake things up in that reality show sort of way. But I'm sure things are going to get interesting.

One night in the mid-80s when I was working at a pizza restaurant, I grabbed an empty pizza pan so I can make room on the counter for another pizza and I realized it was red hot. I think my first clue was when it started to burn. It was so hot that as I tried to throw the pan down I couldn't, because it was stuck to my hand for a few seconds. I had to spend the entire night with my left hand in a bucket of ice and my right hand making drinks for the waitresses. Turns out the incident gave me an easy night of work but it hurt like hell.
I thought of that tonight when Vanessa got burned by the pan. Her injury was a lot worse than mine, considering she had skin falling off and had to go to the hospital. But the person in the most pain tonight was probably Chef Gordon Ramsay.

England's culinary hothead and Hell's Kitchen host Gordon Ramsay's latest restaurant endeavor - The London in New York's London Hotel - is catching some heat for a rumored two hour time limit imposed on its diners. Ramsay first denied the charge saying that the limit was rubbish and a "mistake by a reservation agent." However, guests at the restaurant have reported that the limit is very much in force. Following two hours, you will be made to relinquish your table in the dining room and moved into the bar.
Developers in Denver are turning the Real World house at 1920 Market Street into a nightclub, scheduled to open next summer. They'll be retaining over 50% of MTV's interiors including the Jeep Wrangler-turned-bar in a somewhat dubious effort to keep things "classy." The basketball court/hot tub patio will be turned into a outdoor bar, and the second floor will be transformed into office space, which considering the activity that went on inside that house doesn't seem entirely square. It would be more in keeping with the spirit of the show to turn the upstairs into a massage parlor offering happy endings from Girls Gone Wild cast-offs.
(S01E06) Mr. T finally meets someone that I'd love to see him go three rounds in the ring with -- Chef Ed. This week's show takes T to a flagging Italian restaurant called La Spezia, where the chef doesn't get along with and the staff or Owner Mike. When I say don't get along, I mean that there is real concern that Ed might take a cleaver to someone one day in the kitchen. The main ingredient in his character is a lot of rage. When you pit an immovable T against an unstoppable angry chef, whadda ya get? I ... don't really know the answer, that just sounded impressive to me.Continue reading I Pity the Fool: Communication
Do you love fine dining but aren't satisfied unless your restaurant is owned and operated by a screaming, gesticulating British man? Well, you're in luck because Gordon Ramsay, he of FOX's hit reality program Hell's Kitchen (which returns next year) has opened his first restaurant in the United States. The new restaurant, The London, is located in the NYC London Hotel. If you wish to eat there, you'll have to be patient, because it's booked for the next two months. Ramsay, who also owns nine other restaurants, says the New York City restaurant is his biggest one so far, and the most expensive. I'm guessing what sets this restaurant apart from others is that if you're not happy with your meal, Ramsay will personally come out and headbutt you in the face. Not that it matters, since I'm going to assume the menu is far more costly than anything I could ever afford. I guess I'll stick to staying home with a frozen pizza and not watching Hell's Kitchen.
Fans of Everybody Hates Chris know that Chris' mother, Rochelle, is a woman who doesn't take any BS from anyone, a "ghetto snob" who isn't afraid to tell you exactly how she feels, and often at full volume. In fact, sometimes she can be -- what's the word I'm looking for? Oh right, a total bitch. That's okay, though, it makes her character stand out from the crowd and creates a nice dynamic between herself and the rest of the family.
As I've said in my reviews of the series, Everybody Hates Chris is highly fictionalized, but as Hunter S. Thompson attempted to demonstrate in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, sometimes fiction can reveal something that's even truer than the truth.
