New cast members, same old Reno 911! - VIDEO

Reno 199! Season Six CastOne of my favorite things that Reno 911! does is to weave in guest stars with little or no fanfare, and to just let them mix it up with the cast. I smile every time I see Patton Oswalt as a role-playing geek running, in full chainmail, from Dangle & Co. Or Paul Rudd as a Lamaze coach. Or Cheryl Hines as trailer trash (there has been a lot of trailer trash).

It's never a big deal, it's never announced to promote the show. It's just people who are good at what they do goofing off and having a lot of fun, which is what the rest of the cast is doing anyway.

Looks like the new season, which premieres Wednesday at 10:30PM, will continue that tradition. Here's a bit with Jonah Hill, uncensored.

See Reno: 911 Miami free today in Seattle, Phoenix and Boston

reno 911Reader Amy asked us if it was true that an early screening of Reno: 911 Miami was showing in Seattle. I immediately checked every site I could think of to find information, and came up empty. Thankfully, our sister site Cinematical did find some information, and yes, RENO: 911 MIAMI IS SCREENING FOR FREE TODAY in Seattle, Boston and Phoenix. Click here to see where exactly. According to Cinema Blend, all showings are at 7:00pm, and one deputy from the series will be at each event. I recommend you call the theater to make sure that time is correct, though.

Apologies for getting this news to y'all at the very last minute, but my typically awesome online detective work left me empty-handed this time. I have failed you, and to punish myself, I'm going to watch nothing but the Oxygen Network for the rest of the day.

Oh yeah, one last important thing: to get into these free showings you'll need to show up with a print out of your MySpace page. It's easy to sign up for one, so if you live in any of those cities, get crackin'. Then come back here and tell me how awesome it was.

Reno 911 and Chappelle's Show going into syndication

reno 911If you don't have Comedy Central, you just might have a chance to catch two of the network's series anyway when both Reno 911! and Chappelle's Show go into syndication this fall. Of course, one would assume these episodes will be edited for syndication, either for content or to sandwich in more commercials, which is one of the reasons I never bother to watch the syndicated version of South Park. Still, it's another chance to catch these shows, and that's not a bad thing at all. The two series are the first to be syndicated through a deal between New Line Television and MGM.

Comedy Central has also picked up Reno 911! for a fifth season, and the movie Reno 911: Miami will hit theaters next month.
