VH1 is calling this t
he best interview ever; Flavor Flav of the network's hit franchise
Flavor of Love talked to
Complex Magazine. And you won't believe what he said. Here's what you
never wanted to know about the rapper-turned-reality-superstar:
1. He made another kid eat dog poop. It was revenge for the kid making Flav eat his own booger.
2. His favorite possession is a Coo-Coo clock from Switzerland. It has a little Flav that comes out and screams "Yeah Boy!" when the big hand strikes three.

So, last year I mentioned that Snoop Dogg got into a bit of trouble for allowing both a feature film and a reality series to be made about his youth football league.
It would seem whatever problems hindered the possibility of a Snoop reality series have been taken care of, because later this year Snoopy Snoop will be the center of a new series for E! that will follow the rapper, actor and producer as he tries to balance his family life and his work.

We've been telling you that rapper/reality star Flavor Flav will be the next victim for the Comedy Central Roast. We've also been wondering why they chose him and not someone else, someone who, say, isn't Flavor Flav.
But that's who they've picked, and we're required by law to watch it, so to either pique your interest or add to your disgust, here's a few of the folks who will be joining the be-clocked* one on stage:

I mentioned earlier this month that Comedy Central had another Roast planned for August. Well, now we know that the roastee is Flavor Flav.
Seriously, Flavor Flav?
Yep, Flavor Flav.
The special, which airs August 12 at 10:00 p.m., is also being hyped as Comedy Central's first carbon-neutral event. The press release explains: "Comedy Central will offset its carbon emissions with the help of partner, NativeEnergy, a national marketer of carbon offsets and renewable energy credits (RECs), offering individuals and organizations a means to compensate for their global warming pollution." What not many people know is that until recently, all the humor on Comedy Central ran on diesel and coal. Or something.

Larry Charles, director of Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan and a writer/producer for Seinfeld and Curb Your Enthusiasm is developing a new reality series for HBO centered on the life of rapper and producer Kanye West. According to Reuters, HBO has declined to comment on the untitled project.
Since I'm not a fan of reality TV in general, any new show with that label really has to prove itself to me in order to get me to watch it. I'm also rather indifferent to West himself. Still, having Larry Charles attached to the project does pique my interests somewhat, so who knows? All in all, I'm mildly curious to see how this reality series sets itself apart from the fold.

20th Century Fox is developing a feature called Coach Snoop about Snoop Dogg's Snoop Youth Football Team Foundation. The problem is, Snoop had also signed a deal with Natural Resources Media & Technology Group to develop a reality series about his youth football league. Since 20th Century owned the exclusive rights to any production involving the football league, the reality series was forced to shut down production. Now Natural Resources Media & Technology Group has filed a lawsuit against the foundation for breach of contract.
If trying to process all of that information almost made your head explode, join the club. It kind of makes me wonder exactly what Snoop was thinking, since at some point this information was going to surface.

More information has been released about VH1's latest reality outing -
ego trip's The (White) Rapper Show.
What we reported to you in early November remains the same - the show, which premieres on January 8th, is a reality competition which pits lily white MCs against one another in search of the next Eminem or Adrock.
Now, you wouldn't expect another lame reality show from the team behind
ego trip, would you? For the uninitiated,
ego trip was a New York-based hip-hop magazine that started back in 1994. The publication covered underground sounds with wit and attitude. They were the "arrogant voice of musical truth." While the magazine folded years ago,
ego trip remained at large through a series of books -
ego trip's Book of Rap Lists and
ego trip's Big Book of Racism. They partnered with VH1 on
ego trip's Race-O-Rama and
TV's Illest Minority Moments. Given their track record, it would be a huge disappointment were
The (White) Rapper Show to suck.

(S32E06) Some of you weren't so happy that we
stopped reviewing Saturday Night Live, so I'm going to give this another go, just so that everyone at least as a place to discuss. And I will try and resist saying "ehh, it was okay, I guess" for every single review, but, let me warn you, it's going to be tough. That said, this particular episode was... well... ehh, it was okay, I guess. Surprisingly, Ludacris did a much better job than many other musician hosts (and some "real actor" guests, actually), but it was nothing spectacular.

Mos Def: not exactly a bad ass rapper. Sure... he was arrested in New York City, but it's not for your usual rapper garbage like gun possession (Diddy) or lying about a murder (Lil' Kim). Nope, NYC police cuffed Mos Def for an impromptu performance he gave outside the Radio City Music Hall last Thursday before the MTV VMAs. Apparently he didn't have a permit for the sound system. The cops interrupted a song he was performing about Hurricane Katrina on the back of a flatbed truck outside the awards show. Police kept Mos Def overnight and now he'll have to appear in court.

This is one of the funniest things I've seen all month, Kevin Federline at the Teen Choice Awards over the weekend debuting his new single, "Lose Control." It manages to be cliched and outrageously terrible all at once. At first I thought it was Jamie Kennedy doing an impersonation of a white rapper, but it's Federline in all his glory. Sorry, that's K-Fed, yo.
Great to see the introduction of "her man" by Britney Spears herself, in all her gum-smacking, "I'm very pregnant but I'm still wearing a revealing dress to a kid's show" glory. Video after the jump...

I don't know if 50 Cent is just posturing to appear tough to
his fans or if he has a legitimate beef with the most powerful woman in the universe. In an interview with the
Associated Press, 50 Cent complained that Oprah never has rappers on her show because her viewers are older, white
women. Um, yes. I think that is why. Also, because she's not a big fan of the N-word, or of songs that promote the
gansta life and are disrespectful of women. Oprah brought dirty lyrics up to Ludacris when he was on the show last fall
to talk about
Crash and racism. Ludacris joins the anti-Oprah rant in next month's GQ Magazine, saying,
"She edited out a lot of my comments while keeping her own in."
In this fight, my money's on
Oprah, baby!

Ludacris, the rapper-turned-actor who did
a remarkable job in the Oscar-winning movie
Crash and in
Hustle and Flow, will appear on a new episode
of
Law & Order: SVU tonight. As
Adam mentioned last month, he'll
play Det. Tutuola's (Ice-T) nephew, who has a secret that gets exposed when Tutuola's son is accused of homicide.
Said Ludacris, "There was no way I could turn down this amazing opportunity. The character was so rich and
the storyline so complex, that I knew it was something I had to do." I'm sold.
SVU airs at 10
pm ET tonight on NBC.

On March 28, rapper/actor Chris Bridges, aka Ludacris, will appear on an episode
of
Law and Order: SVU as a family member of show regular and fellow rapper Ice-T. In the episode, Fin's
(played by Ice-T) son is suspected in a double homicide. Ludacris will play a character named Darius who turns out to
be a pivotal figure in the investigation. Yes, that's a rather vague plot synopsis, but I've found it's better to go
into an episode of
SVU completely oblivious. It makes for a more engaging experience.
