Every year, The Boston Phoenix publishes a list of the 100 Unsexiest Men of the Year, where they judge 100 males involved in everything from sports to politics to the internet. They always include several TV faces (and other body parts), and this year they've included a cartoon character.
No, not Dr. Phil, though he is a bit of a cartoon. The "doctor" is on the list, but the cartoon character I'm talking about is Quagmire, from Family Guy. The Phoenix sends a note to creator Seth MacFarlane that "nothing screams hilarity like jokes about date rape!" Giggity.

(S05E12) Looking back on this one, as an admitted Stewie fan, I'm surprised that I liked it as much as I did. For the most part, my favorite
Family Guy episodes are those where Stewie gets his own feature plot. He was relegated to Meg or Chris background status here, but the episode was still one of the best of the season.
Chalk a lot of that up to giving Quagmire a chance to shine. He's a great character, so it's nice to get to see him used a little more on occasion. If the experiment with Stewie and Brian's talk show,
Up Late, goes well, I wouldn't mind seeing Quagmire get his own show. Maybe something along the lines of
Midnight Q from "PTV." He did have the line of the night with his "...contents of your panties may have shifted..." bit after missing the flight.

If you've got eight spare minutes and don't mind seeing cartoon nudity and hearing animated flatulence at work, then take a look at this video: someone has compiled what he or she thinks is
Family Guy's ten funniest moments and clipped them together. It's kind of odd how some of the selections are maybe 15 seconds long, while others -- especially a clip featuring Quagmire -- seem to go on forever. But I think that's the nature of
Family Guy: just when you think a gag should end, Seth MacFarlane purposely extends it to the point where it becomes funny again.
Anyway, I don't agree with all of this person's choices, but it's not a bad way to spend eight minutes. The video is after the jump.

Well, if there's one reason I'm glad I watched tonight's ep
is because I learned exactly how a vasectomy is done. Thanks to the barbershop quartet singing about the procedure and
the handy diagram of the scrotum, I now know exactly what it entails.
Peter is going to have a vasectomy, so
he decides to freeze is sperm before he does it. This leads to an hysterical yet truly gross scene where Peter knocks
over an entire shelf of sperm samples, and has to refill them, um, himself. Flash forward nine months, and a woman
gives birth to another Stewie, named Bertram.

The
Family Guy episode titled
"The Cleveland-Loretta Quagmire," which was re-aired recently, has caught flak from some AIDS groups for a little barber shop ditty performed by Peter for the benefit of a dying AIDS patient. Using song, Peter tells the man, quite frankly, that he has AIDS and is definitely going to die. Seen in context, the joke is that Peter is having a flashback about his impeccable knack for breaking bad news to people. Nevertheless, AIDS groups aren't amused.
