Good gravy.
I told you recently that Lifetime's new series, Army Wives, was worth checking out, and apparently I'm not the only one who tuned in to the new series. Variety reports that the first episode scored the highest rating in Lifetime's history for a series premiere.
Starting this year, you'll be able to catch some of your favorite Discovery series online (including all the channels under the Discovery Communications umbrella) before they hit the TV airwaves.
Discovery iPremieres will launch in the third quarter of this year, two per week. The premieres will include both new and existing shows, including: Man Vs. Wild, American Chopper, What Not to Wear, Bindi: The Jungle Girl and Dirty Jobs. The premieres featured each week will change based on the top-performing shows. The online episodes will also include extra behind-the-scenes clips.

The networks continue to try and find new and interesting ways to get the word out about their shows. Anna reported earlier on the
CBS/Tivo deal to give subscribers the first look at their new comedy
The Class. Now comes word that the Tiffany network will also
partner with Classmates.com to promote the show. Each of the characters will have their own page on the site and registered Classmates users will be able to interact with them, adding them as friends, and emailing the characters. The site will also have video clips from the show. No word yet on whether the Classmates Class will now try to open a popup window on every other page you visit on the internet.
The Class premieres on September 18th.

It worked for
Mork and Mindy,
The Jeffersons, and those crafty crime scene detectives in Miami and New York, so why not Rosie? Now, the cynic in me also has that little voice in the back of his head whispering
Joanie Loves Chachi,
Joey, and
Richie Brockelman, Private Eye, but let's give this one the benefit of the doubt until we know more.
Rumor has it that FX is considering a half hour spinoff featuring O'Donnell's character from the upcoming season of Nip/Tuck. The as yet nameless series would be written by Nip/Tuck creator Ryan Murphy. There is no official word on the show at this time, but when asked if she was considering the show by a fan
on her website Rosie answered 'yes'. Take that for what it is.
The new season of
Nip/Tuck premieres September 5th on FX and will be covered each and every week here at TV Squad. More info on Rosie's
Nip/Tuck character after the jump, with small spoilers.
