Some very talented
Lost fan took plane crash clips from the last three seasons and
edited them together in a sequence to show what was happening as the plane crashed. Even though
the editor doesn't seem to think it's very good, it really is. Sure, the time doesn't match up exactly, but it's pretty damn close. The plane crash is shown in almost real time from the perspective of the passengers, The Others, and Desmond. It shows the cause-and-effect of the near-implosion of the hatch when Desmond doesn't push the button. It's very exciting, though I kind-of think it wouldn't make any sense to anyone who doesn't watch
Lost.
Video is after the jump:

Just when I got the original "Dick in a Box" song out of my head, it's back in a new form. Some fans of
Lost have created a parody of the
Justin Timberlake/Andy Samburg music video called
"Dad in a Box".
Lost fans will get that title immediately and probably even snicker. It refers to a recent episode where Ben tells John Locke all about a "magic box" on the island where you can wish for something and it will suddenly appear.
The "Dad in a Box" music video is after the jump.

It's always terrible when someone dies, of course, but we're used to writing "at 75" or "at 83." Now twice in the past two weeks we've had to write up the obit of a celeb 20 or under (Daniel Smith was the first).
Pablo Santos, the star of the short-lived WB series Greetings From Tucson (which was actually pretty good) died in Mexico yesterday when the small plane he was flying in crashed on approach to the runway. The crash is being investigated.
Besides the WB sitcom, Santos had roles in Alias, The Shield, Law and Order: SVU, The Proud Family, Boston Public, and others. He had two movies this year, Gettin' Some Jail Time and the TV movie Walkout. (Santos is on the far right in the picture.)

I'm not the most sensitive guy in the world, but even I cringed a bit when Conan O'Brien's opening sketch featured the Emmy host in a plane crash, on the very same day 49 people died in a plane crash in Kentucky. Sure, the bit was probably taped days ago, but couldn't they have edited that scene out and had a regular opening? They probably could have just opened with Conan already on the island, meeting Hurley.
TV station owners and other officials in Kentucky weren't too happy with it either, but it was a live telecast and they didn't know about it beforehand. Dateline Hollywood gives their take on the skit and a video.
What do you think?

Peter Tomarken, 63, and his wife,
Kathleen, 41, died yesterday when their small plane
crashed
into Santa Monica Bay shortly after take-off. The couple had volunteered for Angel Flight West, which transports
patients to medical facilities for free. Divers spent the afternoon looking for a possible third victim, a patient the
Tomarkens were supposed to be transporting. However, a third body has not been found. Airport officials say the couple
reported engine troubles and was turning around when it went down in about 19 feet of water.
Tomarken hosted
Press Your Luck for four years. The game show was known for its' contestants screaming, "Big Bucks! No
Whammies!". He has also hosted a handful of other game shows over the years. Tonight, Game Show Network
will pay tribute to Tomarken by airing the documentary,
Big Bucks: The Press Your Luck
Scandal (how is that a tribute?) at 10 PM. Tomorrow, GSN will devote its programming to reruns of
Press Your
Luck.
