Back in August I posted a clip of Brendon Small, creator of Home Movies and Metalocalypse, performing a stand-up routine as a mumbling character called Captain Mustache. Home Movies ranks as one of my favorite shows of all time, and Metalocalypse holds a special place in my dark, twisted heart for its over-the-top depiction of the raw brutality of heavy metal. Small has a knack for divining humor out of what seems like thin air, and I'm both entertained and made insanely jealous by his talent. The same YouTube user who posted the original Captain Mustache video has posted another one, and you can watch it after the jump. This time the Captain even sings and plays the piano, giving a whole new dimension to Toto's "Africa" that just might make you weep at its brilliance.

David Bowie is hilarious on Extras -- VIDEO
The celebrity cameos are getting ridiculously funny on Extras, which is airing season two right now in Britain (HBO hasn't announced an air date for season two in the U.S.). Last week, it was Orlando Bloom trying to convince 'Maggie' that he's more famous than Johnny Depp. This week, it's David Bowie in a restaurant, singing a song about Andy and his pug nose face. It's completely over the top and, in true Ricky Gervais style, it's uncomfortably hilarious.Video is after the jump.

Star Trek/Simpsons musical mash-up -- VIDEO
I found this on YouTube several days ago and thought y'all would get a kick out of it. A very talented young man has created a musical masterpiece that combines the Star Trek theme with the Simpsons theme. These kind of mash-ups have been all over the Web since Danger Mouse mixed Jay-Z's Black Album with the Beatles' White Album and called it The Grey Album. I think this one trumps them all, however, because you also get to see some weirdo dancing around his room while the music plays. I think the peeps over at The Simpsons should get in touch with this guy and use his song on one of their episodes. Alicia Keys bringing story to UPN
UPN has decided to stick with the "celebrity coming of age" approach for a new drama
based on the childhood of recording artist Alicia Keys. Heck, it worked for Chris Rock.The series will be based on
Keys', who had a white mother and a black father and was raised by her mother in Hell's Kitchen after her parents
divorced when she was two. She started playing piano at six and eventually grew up to be a popular singer and pianist,
selling over fifty billion copies of her first album in just under eight minutes. The show will be written by Felicia
Henderson, who wrote for Family Matters and The Fresh Prince of Bel Air. Keys will executive produce.
