Vanity Fair has done a
piece on Gossip Girl profiling the likes and dislikes of its young Hollywood starlets. Amanda Seyfried, who's starring in the upcoming film
Mamma Mia! with Meryl Streep, wants to work with Michael Caine on day. When asked whether she drove a hybrid or an Escalade, she said, "Audi. Maybe I should drive a hybrid. I do have a shirt that says, 'Go Green.'?" Well, that helps, I guess.
Blake Lively, who got her start playing Bridget in
The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, got the car question too: "Hybrid. Even if anybody picked the Escalade they wouldn't say it, 'cause it'd be, like, bombed."
VH1.com pointed out that in the article
Gossip Girl ripped off a famous Friends photo. The pictures features each cast in evening gowns and tuxes while lugging champagne. Technically,
Vanity Fair ripped off
Friends. I feel indignant at any comparison, intentional or not, made between
Friends (*cue choir of angels*) and
Gossip Girl. Check out the pictures and let me know what you think.

(S18E16) I often counter anti-Simpsons bromides by telling people that no series can be perfect all the time, but I think there's a part of me that still expects perfection. I'm like a mother that knows her child isn't perfect, and yet feels let down when they falter, because damn it, I know they're better than that.
I probably could have come up with a better analogy, but it's too late now, I'm already on the second paragraph. The thing is: I liked this episode. It made me laugh, and it had a ton of great gags, and plenty were "pause button worthy." It just didn't feel "full," you know? Of course, the first indication should have been the extra-long opening sequence showing Homer evolving as he treks to his house to sit with his family on the couch. When you see a long couch gag, you know they were a little short on the episode length that week.

Move that Caprica Six poster on your cubicle wall and make room for the new Queen of the Geeks.
The Office actress Jenna Fischer appears naked on the cover of the April 2007 issue of Wired magazine. The magazine comes with a clear cover that makes her look like she's dressed in a suit, but you pull it back and see she's naked (naughty parts hidden tastefully behind a white sign she's holding). You can see
it and other photos here.
Why is she naked? In case you actually care, it goes with a feature article about "radical transparency", which is a new trend of companies going public with upcoming projects, etc. The title of the article is "Get Naked and Rule the World".
By the way, this isn't the first time Jenna has had a revealing photo shoot. She also
showed off her ass in Jane magazine last July. I imagine her
Office co-stars are going to give her hell for this. (Remember
how they responded to her Esquire article?)

Super
happy and super pregnant Mariska Hargitay graces the cover of the April 3rd TV Guide. She has been in the background
lately on
Law & Order: SVU, hiding behind big coats, desks, and documents. Last night's ep was the last
time we'll see her until next fall, as she is already on maternity leave. Mariska will have the baby in California,
near family and friends. She said of her maternity leave, that she can't wait to "wear a big muumuu, meditate, do
prenatal yoga, get massages, and lie in bed and pop chocolates." Not sure of the due date, but it's sometime in
June, which means Mariska is in her third trimester of pregnancy!
Mariska and her husband, Peter Hermann,
met two years ago when he had a guest starring role on
SVU. They are expecting a baby boy.
