Having just watched all of these scenes this past week (read my yammer in
Jane After Dark), I found this gag reel for season two of
Gossip Girl pretty hilarious. I always wonder what wacky hijinks take place behind the scenes, what the actors are like during filming, and how things can go horribly wrong with the cameras still rolling. So I love watching the outtakes on DVD sets.
My favorite here is the scene where an ultra-dandified Chuck is on the Yale campus, and the dudes grab him and stuff the sack over his head. Or rather, TRY to stuff the sack over his head. And then there's Leighton Meester, who is so indelibly "Blair Waldorf" in my head that it's weird seeing her crack up and talk in funny voices. I can't imagine trying to compose myself for a scene after cracking up take after take.

Okay, whether you found Will Ferrell and Adam McKay's video The Landlord extremely funny, or you were offended by the fact that it featured McKay's daughter, Pearl, cursing (and yes, she really was cursing), I think there's one thing we can all agree on: Pearl is really, really, adorable.
Check out the outtakes from the video below. You would have to be a vampire with a heart carved out of baby nightmares to not total fall in love with the little tyke. I think in some ways the outtakes are almost funnier than the finished product, since it shows Pearl behaving like an actual kid (i.e., she doesn't really care what all those crazy adults around her are doing, she just wants to bang some rocks together).
Anyway, check it out after the jump and have a larf.

It looks like someone from
Battlestar Galactica made
this video for the cast and crew. It's a compilation of outtakes and spoofs from Season 3. It's 13 minutes long and it includes clips from other movies that some cast members were in-- for example, Mary McDonnell as Stands with a Fist in
Dances with Wolves and Katee Sackhoff in some weird, very bad horror movie. What I like about bloopers is the way it humanizes some of the more serious characters. What's funnier than watching Admiral Adama break into laughter or stink up the set with a fart?
Oh, and there's a "Sploiler Alert" (their spelling, not mine) that's fake. It's just meant to set up the next clip so don't get all mad at me like I ruined the ending or something... because it's a joke!!!
Video is after the jump.

The new season of House kicks off tomorrow night, but before you settle into watch the abrasive wiseass genius cure all kinds of wacky diseases, I invite you to check out a few bloopers and outtakes from last season. The video is after the jump, and I'm not sure where the footage came from, but I would guess it's from one of the DVDs. It's about five and a half minutes and contains the usual blooper fare: botched lines, cracking up in the middle of a dramatic moment, and various hijinks, but there are some great moments when Hugh Laurie, rather than admit he messed up, just begins to improvise. Also, as far as I could tell, he never loses his American accent even when he's out of character. That's dedication, I'm telling you. Have a look:

The second season of Wonder Showzen, MTV2's hidden subversive gem, will be out on DVD on October 17. If you haven't seen the show, it's essentially what Sesame Street would be if the writers and performers injected LSD directly into their brains before taping every episode. The set will include all eight episodes from the second season, outtakes from the "Clarence" and "Beat Kids" segments, a Wonder Showzen storybook, and assorted games, featurettes and other nonsense. You know, DVD-type stuff. Besides being one of the funniest, sickest, and oddest shows to ever hit the airwaves, the show also featured a lot of great comedians in guest roles, including Amy Sedaris, David Cross, Zach Galifianakis, and Jon Glaser.

If you're a fan of
Mythbusters you
should check out
this page
over on the Discovery Channel's Web site, which features clips from the show that never made it to air. I always
expected Adam's penchant for jokes sometimes wore thin on Jamie, and that's especially evident in one clip where Adam
smears engine grease on Jamie's toilet, which Jamie doesn't respond to very kindly. My favorite clip, though, is the
one featuring an otter swiping a ping-pong ball. It's cute, but it's also a tad scary considering that if the otter
were harmed, someone would have ended up going to jail. Possibly a jail run by otters.
