Dear Rich,

You don't mind if I call you Rich, do you? I feel like I know you well. And it's not just because I watched you walking around naked on an island somewhere either. No, it's because you were on Survivor twice and in both those instances, you really impressed me with your game-playing. You deserved to win that first Survivor. You earned it, Richard Hatch. You outwit, outplayed and outlasted all the rest, including Sue who probably wanted to kill you.

So, now that you're out of jail -- hopefully for good -- I'm rooting for you to get your stuff together and move on with life. That means shut your mouth. Stop yapping about how the authorities are conspiring against you. Stop saying it's because you're gay.

The first thing you must do is pay the back taxes on the prize money you legitimately won. Surely, you know that's how they got Al Capone. Pay the IRS, man. Start a payment system, they'll accept that.

This will come as a surprise to no one, but it will make fans happy anyway: CBS has renewed Survivor for two more seasons.

All this talk today of The Simpsons being renewed for a 22nd season it's easy to forget that this will be the 20th season of this show. OK, it's not 20 years because the show often has more than one season per year, but that's still pretty long. Jeff Probst will stay on as host.

Survivor host Jeff Probst usually reveals the location of the next season at the end of the live reunion show which happens at the end of the last episode (this Sunday at 8 on CBS). But the news has been released a little early this season.

Probst was on Ryan Seacrest's show (yes, I know, this is the second Seacrest interview I've linked to this week - who knew he'd be such a fountain of breaking news?), and Probst reveals that the next season of the show will be in Brazil. Which means it's another jungle setting, which means we can expect more bugs, more heat, perhaps some rainstorms and footage of animals that usually don't make it anywhere near the camps. In fact, they're already done filming the next season, which debuts on February 12.

Probst also talks about running into Anderson Cooper when he was doing The Mole and the debacle that was The Emmys.
