I'm not sure what type of person would want to date Omarosa, one of the great
villains in reality show history, but we're about to find out.
Donald Trump and Omarosa are teaming up (with TV One) for
Omarosa's Ultimate Merger, which will have 12 guys competing in various challenges to see who wins her heart. Her cold, cold heart.
Trump will appear on the show too (of course) and it will be filmed at the Trump International Hotel and Tower in Las Vegas. Not sure I like the name though. It would be better if it was titled
So You Want To Try To Date Omarosa or
Who Wants To Date An Omarosa or
Are You Smart Enough Not To Date Omarosa?
Actually, the best title for the show is unfortunately already taken:
Shark Tank.

Great, now Omarosa has God on her side.
In what can only be construed as a last ditch attempt to somehow gain immortality, America's favorite reality TV villainess, Omarosa, has enrolled in seminary school, according to the Dayton Daily News.
The former star of The Apprentice, The Celebrity Apprentice, and The Surreal Life will be earning her doctorate of ministry at the United Theological Seminary. She'll be taking classes in Old Testament, New Testament, and History of Christianity. According to Omarosa, this is part of a "transformation" she's going through.

I admit it, I've been watching
The Celebrity Apprentice and I have been entertained by every minute of it. Yes, it doesn't take much to amuse me on Sunday nights, as you can see, but those of you who do watch the show must agree that this season's crop brings the drama!
The cast may not include
Omarosa and Piers,
last season's winner, but
Dennis Rodman, Clint Black, Annie Duke, Joan and Melissa Rivers stepped up to the drama plate.
Warning! If you haven't watched last night's episode yet, stop reading this post now and come back once you've watched it because I know you'll want some place to discuss the boardroom drama.

A few words to describe the celebrity version of NBC's
The Apprentice: drama, tempers, egos, backstabbing, bitching, arguing, egos and... more egos! This week, the bruised egos are those of
America's Got Talent's Piers Morgan and of
The Apprentice (Season 1) Omarosa Manigault-Stallworth. Since the beginning of the season, both have been strong and opinionated players on their respective teams. Even if they didn't have to work together, Piers and Omarosa were pretty vocal about what they thought of each other. This week, hell broke lose when Trump decided to mix up the teams and the enemies ended up, you guessed it, on the same team!

I'm not watching Celebrity Apprentice. I watched the first season of the show, and I actually liked the Martha Stewart version of the show, but there's no way I'm going to sit in front of my TV for weeks and watch Marilu Henner battle Stephen Baldwin.
And I also question the "celebirty" status of some of these people. Case in point, Omarosa. She's only famous for being on, well, The Apprentice, so I think that sort of makes the whole premise of the show bogus. Fellow castmate Piers Morgan, who is also a judge on America's Got Talent, tells The New York Post that Omarosa actually approached him when the show started and asked him if he wanted to have a "showmance." Morgan had no idea what the hell she was talking about, but she explained that it's a romance between two people on a reality show. Morgan just told her she was "pathetic" and "deluded."

It's no secret that I'm a fan of the reality television genre. I think why I'm enamored with reality television on the whole is because I'm a people-watcher type of person. Sort of like Sylar on
Heroes, I like to see what makes people tick. And what better television medium is there to watch them tick, scheme, plan, and more than the reality genre?
For me, the villains come in two categories -- the few whose appearances on the shows I've just outright loved because they were thoroughly entertaining even though devious and sneaky, then the ones who irked me to no end and I wanted them to go away.
I don't watch every show out there, but here are my sinister seven of reality television. After all, Spider-Man had his Sinister Six ... I want seven!

What could possibly be more annoying than a bad reality show? An awards show dedicated to bad reality shows. Not icky enough? How about an awards show for reality stars hosted by former MTV VJ Kennedy? Now we're talking.
The Fox Reality network's
Reality Remix show hosted its first annual awards ceremony this week in LA. The show won't air until November 22nd, but we've got the scoop on the goings-on.

Of course, I'm pretty sure that's what everyone is calling her anyway, ever since
her appearance on NBC's The Apprentice a few seasons ago. But now she is offically dropping her last name (Manigault-Stallworth)
and just going by the name "Omarosa."
So now she joins other celebrities that go by just one name, including Madonna, Twiggy, and
Godzilla.

There's an interesting article over at
The Morning News,
one of my favorite websites for writers, about how producers go about choosing the right people for reality television.
I've always wondered this myself, since they seem to find the most outrageous people on the planet. The article is
called
The Omarosa Experiment, although Omarosa, still the queen of reality tv, doesn't disclose much
information because of all the hush-up contracts she's signed. The writer, Keith Hollihan, interviews a handful of
well-known reality television contestants about how they got on their respective shows. Some of them made it by being
ballsy with the producers, and others made it because they fit a certain stereotype the producers were looking to fill
(i.e. the New York Italian). All of them went through extensive psychological screening with a minimum of two doctors
who picked their brains to determine how they would react to certain situations. Omarosa says one of the doctors who
interviewed her ended up lobbying for her to be on the show because her psych profile was so unusual. To say the least.
But, not only do these contestants need to be slightly looney tunes, they also need to be able to handle rejection. One
major concern when
Survivor started was that contestants would commit suicide, something which did happen on
boxing reality show,
The Contender. Psychologists help producers choose contestants, by mixing various
psychological types which are sure to create sparks. Basically, it all makes for an interesting psychological
experiment.

Janice Dickinson was booted from her judge position on
America's Next Top Model and disappeared
off the face of the TV-world after she stormed out on the finale of
The Surreal Life 5 (oh, Omarosa...). Well,
guess what? Janice is back with her own show. Oxygen has ordered 10 episodes of
Janice's own reality modeling show, in which she'll
pick five models to join her new Hollywood modeling agency, Janice Dickinson Models.

I have really enjoyed the show for the past few years but it's becoming harder to admit after the last two new episodes.
Last week's ep (which I just saw yesterday) was basically themed "Battle of the Reality Hasbeens" with
The Apprentice's famous witch queen Omarosa and a bevy of annoying, obnoxious, ignorant and nonsensical attitude-filled freakazoids like
Survivor's Jonny Fairplay (who I had never heard of before today). It was a painful two hours that found me fast forwarding on TiVo a lot. The fight for fifteen more minutes was never more desperate or sad. Mostly just sad.

Personally, for most beloved, I would say "not many," and for most hated I would say "most of them." But a new Bravo/TV Guide poll (to coincide with Bravo's Battle of the Network Reality Stars show, which I will avoid like the plague) says that Clay Aiken and Kelly Clarkson are the most beloved, while Omarosa and Richard Hatch the most hated.
