Get ready for more McSteamy: Eric Dane joins Grey's Anatomy cast

Eric DaneJust got a press release from ABC announcing that Eric Dane is joining the cast of Grey's Anatomy on a full-time basis. Of course, every Grey's fan knows that Dane plays Dr. Mark Sloan, otherwise known as "McSteamy." Remember that Addison Shepherd (Kate Walsh) cheated on her husband Derek (Patrick Depmsey) with Sloan, prompting Derek to move to Seattle, where he met a certain skinny blonde intern.

Anyway, we saw Dane at the end of last night's episode, coming out of the bathroom in Addison's hotel room, right after she realized her marriage to Derek was truly over. Guess we'll see the two of them be a couple for a while now. Anything that keeps Walsh on the show is fine with me.

This is the second cast addition of the year; recall that Sara Ramirez (who plays Callie) also became a permanent cast member before the season started. The press release is after the jump.

David Keith to join The Class

David KeithHere is yet another example of why the pilot previews that we get from the networks should not be considered finished products: The cast of The Class, a CBS show about a group of people who are brought back together twenty years after being third-grade classmates, is already making a casting change.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, David Keith will be brought in to play former pro football player Yonk Allen, who is married to one of the classmates, Nicole (played by Joey's Andrea Anders). My guess is that they wanted to give Anders a middle-aged man that a 28-year-old woman might actually want to marry, as Yonk was portrayed in the pilot as more of a balding, paunchy has-been (albeit with money from a desktop grill endorsement). Wonder if they're going to reshoot Yonk's scenes in the pilot or just make an unexplained switch in the first regular episode? I've seen shows do both.
