(S11E10) Holy crap! Nancy loses some of her hair in this episode, just like Marge did in The Simpsons episode "Simpsoncalifragilisticexpiala(Annoyed Grunt)cious!" Quick, somebody make a video so we can expose how King of the Hill is ripping off The Simpsons!

Anyway, this wasn't a bad episode, but it wasn't anything that great either. It felt like a snapshot of a typical day in Arlen, which means it's probably not a bad episode to show someone unfamiliar with the series, but for long-time fans, it took us places we've already been to many times before.

As usual, Dale is obsessed with aliens, and his constant yammering about the vernal equinox and his pestering Nancy about cooking the right food for the aliens has stressed her out so much her hair starts falling out. Naturally, going back to the bliss she once felt with her former lover John Redcorn starts to seem like a good idea.

He might be best remembered by television fans as the creator and writer of such shows as I Dream of Jeannie and The Patty Duke Show, but Sidney Sheldon also wrote for the theater and was a novelist as well, writing several over the years (and he started writing novels at age 50!), including The Other Side of Midnight, If Tomorrow Comes, Rage of Angels, Bloodline, and Master of the Game.

Besides I Dream of Jeannie and Patty Duke, he also wrote or created several other series, including Hart to Hart and Nancy, and wrote an episode of the Twilight Zone revival in the mid 80s. Movies he wrote or co-wrote include the Dean Martin/Jerry Lewis comedy Pardners, Easter Parade, The Buster Keaton Story, and The Bachelor and The Bobby Soxer.

Sheldon died this afternoon in Los Angeles from pneumonia.

Rose: What else was I gonna say? You don't have a name! Don't you ever get tired of The Doctor? Doctor Who?

The Doctor: Nine centuries, I'm coping.

If there is one word that describes this episode of Doctor Who it would be the word you see above. Oh, I could also use adjectives such as romantic, funny, mysterious and, um, blitzy. Yet, they would be secondary to creepy. Credit this to writer Steven Moffat and director James Hawes who used every trick in the Stephen King book of suspense to get that chill up your spine while The Doctor (Christopher Eccleston) investigated the mystery of a homeless child who really wasn't.
