The song is called "No Crew Is Superior" and goes on waaaaaaay too long, but it does show a lot of clips from the show.

It looks like MTV is making an effort (albeit a small one) to show music videos again. Tomorrow a new show called FNMTV will premiere at 8 p.m. The show, hosted by Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy, is a 24/7 non-stop music celebration combining the best music experiences from the TV and the web. I did not realize that Carrie Underwood was such a big star. Country Music Television (CMT) will become 'Carrie Music Television' today when it plays her new music video for six hours straight. That's six hours of one video, over and over, from 6 o'clock this morning to noon. CMT estimates it will air 66 times in those six hours.Continue reading CMT becomes Carrie Music Television
Comedian Zach Galifianakis has outdone himself this time. First, he appeared in the Fiona Apple video, "Not About Love." Now he's lip syncing in Kanye West's new music video for "Can't Tell Me Nothing". We know Kanye's in on it because it's posted here on West's official website.
Comedian and Daily Show trendspotter Demetri Martin appears in the new Fountains of Wayne video for their song "Someone to Love." Martin plays "Seth," a big city lawyer, which is fitting since he himself went to law school, although he did drop out one year before getting his degree.
The song, like all of Fountain of Wayne's songs, is really catchy and you'll probably find yourself singing it in the shower. Or, if you're like me, you'll actually learn how to play it on guitar so you can both sing and play it in the shower. This actually warps the guitar pretty bad, which is why I break into a music warehouse every night and steal a new one.

Just when I got the original "Dick in a Box" song out of my head, it's back in a new form. Some fans of Lost have created a parody of the Justin Timberlake/Andy Samburg music video called "Dad in a Box".Continue reading Lost/SNL parody: Dad in a box - VIDEO
Evel Knievel doesn't mince words. When talking about his lawsuit against a Kanye West music video, he says, "That video that Kanye West put out is the most worthless piece of crap I've ever seen in my life." He's talking about the video for the song "Touch the Sky", where Kanye suits up as "Evel Kanyevel" jumps a canyon. Knievel says West didn't have the right to dress like him (in a snazzy red, white and blue suit) or ride a motorcycle that closely resembled the one Knievel used when he jumped Idaho's Snake River Canyon in 1974. Knievel says the video is "vulgar and offensive" and it damages his reputation.
Maybe it's just because I'm older, but when I see Weird Al Yankovic now it seems he lets the facade drop a little more than usual and isn't so bent on being "on" all the time. Of course, as a youngster that's why I was so drawn to him, because he didn't seem like someone who was acting weird, he seemed like someone who was actually like that all the time. While I haven't bought a Weird Al album in over a decade, I still gotta give props to the man for sticking around and acting as a kind of needle that deflates the balloon of pop cultural excess. I may not listen to him as much anymore, but I think music needs someone like Weird Al to keep everyone from getting too full of themselves.
After the jump you can watch a behind-the-scenes look at Yankovic's video for "White and Nerdy."

Heidi Klum has a really weird holiday music video that looks like it was directed by the same person who does David Hasselhoff's videos. Best Week Ever characterized it as a karaoke video, which is pretty accurate. It's extremely cheerful and starry, with lots of snow and children. Plus, it has cheesy lyrics like the chorus: "Wonderland, wonderland. Shining Stars. Jingle Bells." Try getting that out of your head after you hear it!Continue reading Heidi Klum's weird holiday music video - VIDEO
John Kricfalusi, creator of Ren and Stimpy, has made a hilariously subversive video for Weird Al's song "Close But No Cigar." The song is what Weird Al would refer to as a "style parody," meaning it's not a parody of a specific song but it does pay homage to the music stylings of Cake. The characters and poses were designed by Kricfalusi and fellow animator Katie Rice. The actual animation was done in Flash by Copernicus Studios in Canada. I've kind of lost track of Weird Al over the years, but this is a very funny song, and the video fits it perfectly. Lots of hot cartoon chicks, plus a face gets eaten and a squirrel is disemboweled. I don't think I could ask for much more in a music video. I've placed it after the jump:

Whoa! What's with all the Battlestar Galactica posts today? You'd think we're fans or something. Sheesh!
Remember all the hoopla this summer over the very funny failed pilot called Nobody's Watching? It didn't get picked up by the WB last year but it got a lot of play on YouTube this year and, consequently, NBC decided to give the show a whirl. For some reason, the two guys who star in the show (Taran Killam and Paul Campbell) have a mock music video on YouTube. They lip sync and dance to a song by The Pretenders and there's a weird battle with pocket combs at the end. Not sure what this is all about but it is new to YouTube, since it was uploaded on Sept. 13th. Mildly amusing, anyway.Continue reading Nobody's Watching stars make a music video -- VIDEO
