NBC Universal has
whored out sold rights for
The Office to videogame company MumboJumbo. According to
Variety, MumboJumbo makes "inexpensive arcade-style games". It wants to make a game where players have to perform office tasks and play pranks on other characters. Actual audio and video clips from the show will also be featured in the game. MumboJumbo has rights to the likeness of the cast, who will appear as bobblehead dolls.
Basically, it's a simple and cheap "casual" game that is being produced for low-powered systems like Nintendo DS and Sony PSP handheld--and also for the PC.
MumboJumbo's website boasts that it creates addictive, casual videogames. The game will premiere this fall and will likely be available online as well as in stores.
