New Chuck poster unveiled

ChuckI haven't watched the season finale of Chuck since it aired, but didn't both Chuck and Morgan quit the Buy More? I was wondering that as I looked at this new poster for the new season. It shows Chuck in his shirt and name tag and Morgan standing in his outfit with the Buy More gang.

It's a cool poster though (here's a giant version of the pic). Looks a lot like a poster for a 70s movie. NBC has renewed the series for 13 episodes.

Chuck: Chuck Versus the Ring (season finale)

Chuck vs the ring(S02E22) If this was the series finale for Chuck, it was a really satisfying and appropriate wrap up. If, as I'm hoping, it was only the season finale, this was a really satisfying and appropriate set up for the next season of Chuck. Therefore, any way you slice it, Chuck hit a lot of high notes -- including Jeffster's pre-wedding serenade. The show was filled with action, had new information that was just a little bit stunning, and overall, it was terrific.

Have I mentioned how much I love Ellie and Awesome's wedding ? She looked amazing in her wedding gown and after the chapel situation turned into a scene reminiscent of You Only Live Twice with guys parachuting in through the roof (only in Bond it was a volcano), the outdoor, California nuptials were not only nicer, it gave Chuck a chance to give Ellie the wedding she really wanted.

Chuck: Chuck Versus the First Kill

(S02E20)
Trust. Five little letters that represent so, so much. For Chuck, trust has been key to his agreeing to be the American government's good little intersect. He's gone along with all the dangerous assignments, put his life on the line, lied to his friends and family, and every step of the way, he's trusted that Casey and Sarah and the General are working for the country's best interest, and by extension, his best interest.

After convincing the General that the only way to keep Fulcrum from getting their own intersect, the one not in Chuck's head, was to steal back Orion before he succeeds in building another unit. The fact that Orion was also Steve Bartowski -- Chuck's primary objective, i.e. "get back dad" -- was evident. However, for appearances, he let the team believe that he believed saving the interset was the most important thing.

Chuck: Chuck Versus the Beefcake

chuck(S02E15) Chuck was in a weird place last night. The character, that is, not the show. The show picked up on a storyline from a few weeks back and set up a future episode with a new character that seemed to me a nice contrast to the Casey-Sarah-Chuck triple play.

Remember "Chuck Versus the Suburbs," when Andy Richter's corpse was dragged away in a body bag? Well, he wasn't resurrected on Fringe, like one commenter suggested. No, he's dead and his body included a belt that contained some top-secret data, most importantly, the identity of the Intersect, i.e. Chuck.

The timing of the discovery couldn't be worse, though, because Chuck had just decided to "dump" Sarah as a fake girlfriend, feeling that they had no fake/real future. Of course, be careful what you wish for, Charles. More after the jump.

Chuck: Chuck Versus the Best Friend

chuck(S02E14) Twosomes were very much the theme in this episode, not just Chuck and Morgan, but Devon and Ellie, Jeff and Lester, Morgan and Anna, and -- naturally -- Chuck and Sarah as well as Chuck and Casey. There were scenes that dealt with all these pairs and their dynamics.

The case involved Anna's new boyfriend, car dealer extraordinaire Jason Wang, who caused Chuck's intersect to go off and he was involved with an Asian group of baddies called the Triad. To uncover what they were up to, the General -- whom I'm starting to really detest -- ordered Chuck to get close to Anna's boyfriend, which meant betraying Morgan.

Chuck episode 2
(S01E02) "No matter how stressed you are, it's never OK to murder a woman's souffle."

If you read my first review or my Early Look post, you know that I love Chuck. I gushed more than a Yellowstone geyser. However, I am going to be very honest about the second episode.

It was a disappointment.

After the hip, sleek, funny, action-packed pilot episode, this episode fell flat. It was kind of boring, nonsensical, and didn't advance the plot in any way shape or form. OK, now I am being a little harsh -- it really wasn't terrible -- but it could have been better.

Criminal Minds: The Fisher King, Part One (finale)

Criminal Minds; Promo Poster - Season 1; CBS(S01E22) Not gonna lie. Kind of disappointing. I thought last week's episode (the one with the mole) was way better, and this had a cliffhanger! This does, however, wrap up the first season of Criminal Minds. Twenty-two episodes have come and gone, but the way they left it off... I'm not all that excited about what happens next. I mean I want know, but I'm not on the edge of my seat.

Everyone has been working hard at the BAU, so it's vacation time. The whole team takes two weeks off except JJ and Garcia. Morgan and Elle head south to Jamaica and Hotch is spending time with his family. Gideon retreats to his cabin in the woods while Reid visits his mother (she's schizophrenic... I don't think we knew that). So everyone is relaxing until The Fisher King shows up [insert sinister laughter here].
