Well, I told you about the pilot taping of The Root of All Evil and Julia actually went to the taping, but now it's official: Comedy Central has picked up the pilot, so keep your eyes peeled so you can judge the show for yourself.
Actually, don't keep your eyes peeled, because peeling your eyes actually makes your vision worse. Many people have experienced irreversible ocular damage because of that metaphor. Nasty business.

If you weren't watching Adult Swim last night at 10:00 p.m., then you really missed out. I didn't believe it when Adult Swim said they'd be premiering Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie Film for Theaters on television, but there it was, right on my TV screen. Anyway, here's my review for those of you who missed it:
I never imagined that an eleven-minute cartoon could be stretched out into a four-hour movie, but that's exactly what they did, and I think most of the credit should go to screenwriters Charlie Kaufman and Paul Schrader, who actually worked pro bono. As Schrader told Variety:

Sometimes while going about our day to day lives, we forget to stop and give thanks to that all-powerful being who has brought so much to our pathetic existence. Since this day (6/6/06) shall never come again, I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to sit down for a little chat with Satan, ruler of the underworld, prince of Hades, and former sales manager at Tru Value Hardware, to find out how he feels about television these days. Enjoy:
Adam: Did you really work at Tru Value?
Satan: No, that was just a resume builder.
Adam: Oh.
Satan: Well, employers want customer service experience these days. It's tough. Getting kicked out of Heaven and torturing the damned doesn't automatically get you a job. It's not 1989 anymore, you know.
