Question: what's more exciting than watching the home run hitting contest at the All-Star Game? Answer: watching the batting practice for the home run hitting contest at All-Star Game! And online too!
That's what is going to happen at this year's game, which airs July 10 on FOX. FOX Sports and mlb.com are going to have a two-hour webcast before the home run contest starts. It will be hosted by Chris Rose and Harold Reynolds. There is also going to be a red carpet special before that, with coverage of the players arriving at the park.

In response to Bob's
post about celebrity blogs, one of our readers, Galley, suggested we check out Alyssa Milano's blog on MLB.com. So, being a fan of baseball and an, uh,
"admirer" of Milano,
I decided to go over and check it out.
Essentially a promotional vehicle for her line of women's baseball wear, the blog shows that Milano -- a Dodgers season ticket holder -- really does know her stuff. She quotes venerable Dodgers broadcaster Vin Scully, and speaks about her team with the same passion and attention to detail as Sal from Brooklyn or any of the Joe Six-Packs that call into sports radio shows across the country.
