Yes, that's a very weird headline.
During a press conference for the new "why oh why are they bringing that back?!" NBC version of American Gladiators, former wrestler and current reality show star Hulk Hogan was asked which celeb he'd like to see on the new game show, and Hogan said "Without a doubt, Rosie O'Donnell. Somebody needs to shut that big mouth up." O'Donnell heard about the suggestion, and wrote about it on her blog (can't find the exact entry, and there's no way I'm slogging through her videos and poetry).

They are at it again over at Maxim. This time, counting down the
ten sexiest news anchors. And given that this is Maxim and not Pulitzer, their definition of 'news' is somewhat generous. But who am I to complain? They have put together a pretty good list.
The lovely woman pictured here is French newscaster Melissa Theuriau. She made the list, but you'll have to head over to their site to see what place she finished in. But before you do that, check out a compilation video of her work after the jump.
As with every list of this sort, it's just as much fun listing off who was overlooked. My favorite news anchor that missed the Maxim cut,

Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria claims she's shocked that she was once again named No. 1 on Maxim magazine's seventh annual "Hot 100" list. Well, me too. I kinda thought Eva Longoria's flame went out this season (along with the buzz around
DH). Maxim says the list is of women who have "a tremendous amount of buzz surrounding them, undeniable beauty and a promise of greater things to come."
Also on the list: Jessica Alba, Angelina Jolie, Stacy Keibler, Scarlett Johansson, Cameron Diaz, Kate Bosworth, Keira Knightley, and Christina Milian. Fellow
Desperate Housewives Nicolette Sheridan and Teri Hatcher are also on the list: at numbers 48 and 73.

Yesterday,
we told you about a publicity stunt that
Maxim performed to celebrate its 100th issue. It involved a Nevada desert, a whole lot of mesh, and a gigantic picture of Eva Longoria. But it seems like, though the 75x100 foot cover exists, and may have been laid out in the desert and photographed, it wasn't actually picked up by Google Earth's satellite cameras.
This article in Jossip breaks it down; it seems as if the picture was taken then overlayed on top of Google Earth's satellite picture, mainly because of timing issues (the Google shots are usually a number of days old).
Oh, well. I still wanted to make jokes about it, though. I mean, how could I pass up an opportunity to make a cheap "Eva's mounds" crack?

As part of a celebration
commemorating its 100th issue,
Maxim went to the Nevada desert and unfurled a 75-by-110 foot version of one of
the lad mag's most popular covers, of
Desperate Housewives' Eva Longoria. Of course, because this is
Maxim, Eva isn't exactly wearing a cable-knit sweater on this cover. So, in essence, this is the first time
this desert has seen mounds this big since the last sandstorm (ba dum bum).
The
Maxim cover is SO
big, (if this were
Match Game, I'd be hearing "How big is it?" right now) it can be seen from space.
Well, at least Google Earth was able to pick up the cover on its satellite cameras, as the magazine's web site
proudly states. So there you go: all you need is Eva Longoria, a
bikini, and a truckload of day laborers to create a newsworthy event. Nice going,
Maxim!

Well, there's good news for all of those people who hated that
"scandalous" Maxim
photo spread, because Becky O'Donohue is out! Not only was she in the bottom two, but she actually received
the least amount of votes for the women. The least? I was actually really surprised by this. I have to say that I found
it the most shocking elimination of the night, and I know that some of you will too.

I don't mean to be going all Maxim crazy today, but
you'll thank me for it. Look at what I stumbled across on Maxim Online -- sexy pics of
the American Idol twins. Er, not the Brittenum twins. (Thank goodness.) But the O'Donohue girls, Rebecca
and Jesse. Jesse didn't actually audition for Idol because of bad pipes, but Rebecca made it to the top
12 women. Apparently, the girls were in Maxim before Rebecca auditioned for Idol, and were also on
Fear Factor too. Maybe someone bought them 101 Ways to Get Famous Just for Being Pretty for
Christmas?
The pics are sexy (of course, it's Maxim), but I actually think they looked more attractive
on Idol. Their faces don't seem as pretty in the pics. They're overly-Maxim-ized -- too tan and
too made up. And in some of the pics, they look like they're about to kiss. I'm not digging that. I
know how much people like the hot lesbo action, but they're sisters! Does incest not mean anything
anymore? Also, notice that Rebecca goes by Becca on the site. I guess that sounds sexier. And notice
that Rebecca's, I mean...Becca's waist and butt (per the vitals) are slightly bigger than her sisters. Hopefully,
having so much junk in her trunk (sarcasm) won't hurt her during judging tonight.

Veronica Mars isn't the only one that's heating up the pages of this month's Maxim. My roommate almost dropped his remote when he saw
these sexy pics
of Autumn Reeser, who plays Taylor Townsend on The O.C., in black bra and panties. On
the show, she's a control freak/goody goody, but in real life -- she's just a super hot girl who dreams of one day
having a Man Wing in her own home. It's not too much of a suprise that Autumn is a hottie. (Those dorky capri pants and
pink cardigans can only hide so much.) But I'm just hoping that we see more of this side of her on The O.C. I
always thought that she gave up on Seth too easily, and I remember her once "threatening" to pleasure Seth
for hours with tube socks and hot wax. As horribly cliche as it would be, I really would have like to see Dominatrix
Taylor reveal herself. I think Seth would be into it.

Oh my.
Kristen Bell now joins the ranks of
Jessica Simpson, Haylie Duff and Jennifer Love Hewitt as one of the
Girls of Maxim. In the photos and on the
cover, Kristen is stripped down to her underwear and a black bra.
One
photo actually looks like she's preparing to do a breast self-exam. The quotes from her online don't say much,
except she confesses that "old pervs" used to honk at her back in the day when she went to a Catholic school
that required her to wear a plaid skirt as a uniform.
Jessica Simpson, on the
other hand, told Maxim all about her boobs. But you will never know that because you stopped reading this back at the
link to Kristen's online photos, didn't you?
