It's Hulkamania for American Gladiators

The Incredible HulkSome serious cross-promotion will take place on the June 9 episode of American Gladiators. NBC is airing a special Incredible Hulk-themed installment of the series known for its muscle-bound warriors decked out in spandex and oil.

The Incredible Hulk
feature film, directed by Louis Leterrier and starring Edward Norton, Liv Tyler, Tim Roth and William Hurt, hits theaters four days later on June 13.

The Gladiators episode will feature guest star Lou Ferrigno (who played the green guy on the 1970s TV series) sharing the spotlight with host Hulk Hogan.

The King of Queens: China Syndrome, Parts 1 & 2 (series finale)

The King of Queens finale
(S09E12 / S09E13)
Last month, I wrote a post praising The King of Queens for not making their 200th episode into any kind of "special" episode, just doing the same goofy but funny comedy the show has always done. There was no character development, no great revelations, no massive earth-shattering changes, and no story arcs. I expected them to do the same for the finale; just show another day in the life of the Heffernans and fade to black.

We got none of that; in fact, everything I listed above was exactly what we got, not only in this one-hour finale, but the two episodes before that. Drama isn't this show's strong suit, and it made for a finale that was wildly out of character in comparison with the rest of the series.

Incredible Hulk coming to DVD on July 18

Lou FerrignoUniversal has offically announced that the entire first season of The Incredible Hulk, the 70s action show with Bill Bixby and Lou Ferrigno that I loved for about a year, will be coming out on July 18. It will be a 4 DVD set, with both TV films and the 10 episodes from the first season.

Universal is notorious for not having many extras on their TV DVDs, but fans will be happy to know that this set will have two extra features: a commentary track and special interview/intro with Ferrigno. Which is good, because you don't want to make Hulk fans angry. You wouldn't like them when they're angry.

Grrrr! Brother store steal Lou Ferrigno name! Lou Ferrigno Smash!

Lou Ferrigno suing brotherFor a guy who's been cashing in on the fame of one thirty-year-old television role, Lou Ferrigno is doing pretty well. He has a recurring role on The King of Queens as "Lou Ferrigno" (must be a stretch, acting-wise), and he's got a successful fitness business. So you have to wonder why the former Hulk is suing his brother Andrew over trademark rights to the brother's business, Ferringo Fitness, which is located in northwestern New Jersey.

Not that he doesn't have an argument; even though Lou does not participate in the business, his brother, who took the business over from their late father, has been displaying pictures of Lou as the big green guy for a number of years. There are also a lot of design elements in the store that are green. So they're giving customers the impression that Lou is an owner when he really isn't, and profiting off his name and image without his consent.
