What time is it? Well, it's almost Hamster Time as the new houseguests settle in the
Big Brother 11 house. Julie Chen and executive producer Allison Grodner introduced the cast this morning on
The Early Show.
The official Big Brother 11 website is up and running. We're almost there! All we need are episodes and the live feeds in the house. The esteemed Bob Sassone has already written about
this season's new "green" house. For me, it's just a bit garish, how about you?
The latest hamsters are: (top row) Casey, Jordan, Jeff, Braden, Chima, and Kevin. On the bottom row, we have Lydia, Laura, Michele, Natalie, Ronnie, and Russell. The oldest is Casey coming in with 41 years of age. To be honest, I really look for more diversity in ages, races, and more. But you never know -- I'm sure there's going to be some controversy in the house. The season premiere is July 9 at 8 PM. Be there or ... er, or be here on TV Squad!

A question for you
Big Brother fans: is the reveal of the house a really big deal? I remember watching
The Real World many years ago and it was always fun to see what the house looked like. But those were real (if changed) homes in various cities around the world. This isn't that exciting, but I wouldn't mind living here, I guess. Here are a few pics of the new house, and
the rest of the pics are here. The show starts July 9.
Above: a couch! (Oooooooooooooooo!)

Yes, summer's guilty pleasure voyeur television is just around the corner! CBS has announced that
Big Brother 11 will premiere on Thursday, July 9 at 8 PM ET/PT. In addition to the Thursday night show,
BB11 will also air at 8 PM ET/PT on Sundays and 9 PM ET/PT on Tuesdays. Phew ... no Wednesday show this season. That never worked out last season -- rush, rush, rush, then bored hamsters for four days.
The casting for the show is in its final stages according to
Kasting Inc.'s recent twitter. The finalists have been notified and the process should be finished within a few weeks. Of course, once news on the new hamsters is known, we'll let you know right here on TV Squad.

Since the reality television boom isn't going to end anytime soon, this could be a lucrative career path for the up-and-coming toddler who likes to ham it up with a microphone. After all, in this time of economic woes, what could be a better goal than glam, glitz, red carpets, and Emmy awards?
The reality show genre encompasses the gamut from talent contests to living in the jungle to living in a house with insufferable drones and drama queens and beyond. As a result, the hosts for these shows are going to be a varied lot, as well. Who are these people? How did they get where they are? And, more importantly ... what do I think of them? Read on.

(S10E29) Which of the Renegades will win $500,000 on
Big Brother 10? It's always a toss-up whether the jury pf pre-evicted houseguests will vote on game play or on personal biases. And, as we've seen this season, there sure have been a heck of a lot of personal issues betwixt hamsters! As a person who must like the misery of others, I have to admit that I enjoyed the explosions within the house this season. I know. I'm a mean, cruel person. Mind you, I wouldn't want to be inside the house in the thick of it. But, hey ... I'm just the voyeur here.

We're almost there. The finale is right around the corner on Tuesday. But before we crown the winner of
Big Brother 10, we have to sit through a clips show with (booming announcer voice) NEVER BEFORE SEEN FOOTAGE. You know just from how CBS touted this episode that the "never before seen footage" would be
nothing special.
After the jump, let's talk about what happened last night ... or what didn't happen.

(S10E27) "This is the first time someone actually did what they said they were going to do for me." - JwryIsn't that just too touching? You did realize that Jerry, one of the final three houseguests in the
Big Brother 10 house is 75-years-old, right? I'm not sure if that's been mentioned during the season. Ah, anyway, it's down to the final three and tonight's show was all about the three-part final Head of Household competition and the final eviction of the season. The final HOH winner decides who will go into the final two with him and from there it's all up to the jury members which one will win $500,000 or $50,000. That's quite the difference, but what's a hamster to do? It's all in the game.

(S10E26) "Anything I can use to win this game, I'll do." - DanWe know that Dan will even do a visit with Michelle if need be for him to win the $500,000 prize in the
Big Brother 10 house. Please note that I said he'd do a visit with Michelle, not that he'd do Michelle. Dan does have his limits, y'know. Tonight was the big special live Power of Veto meeting, live eviction, and the start of the final Head of Household competition. Excitement galore as we head into the final days.

(
S10E24)
Aftermath of Renny's EvictionKeesha was obviously the most effected by the Renny's absence. She cried in the Diary Room saying, "It's just really hard to watch her walk out the door." Later she lamented that Renny's picture turned black and white. Renny, a woman who lights up the room when she walks in, should always be in color according to Keesha.
Other reactions to Renny's departure varied. Jerry had mixed feelings. He thinks his HOH reign was a success because it kept him in the house another week, but a failure because Dan was his target. Memphis feels that this past week was extremely successful. Renny never really trusted him so he's taken out another threat. And I'd have to agree. Renny called him a snake in the past and didn't really want him in the alliance of four. Dan was also happy with Renny's eviction. If she had made it to the final two, she would have won. Hands down.

(S10E24) "I was running out of bodies." - JerryOh, no! Could Jerry be talking about dead bodies in the
Big Brother 10 house? He's been talking about being all alone in the house. Now, if there are bodies ... gulp. You never know with some of the houseguests they get on the show. Sure, they pass the psychological screening, but Jerry could just snap. Or maybe I just have an overactive imagination. Read on past the jump for my full review of tonight's live eviction episode.

(
S10E22) "We don't even get a week to campaign do we?" -- Ollie to Jerry
"Yeah well, life is short." -- Jerry to Ollie
Once again,
Big Brother began its show with an insanely long recap of the previous show. I think this one was almost fifteen minutes. We went over how Michelle was evicted, how Keesha won HOH, how she put up Ollie and Jerry, blah, blah, blah. Too long.
We did get a few nuggets of information to add to our mental portraits of this summer's houseguests. We got the exchange above which happened as Jerry and Ollie sat in the living room awaiting the results of
Big Brother 10 "Fast Forward." But all that really shows is Ollie's bitterness and Jerry's nonsensical reply.
All was not lost though, I liked seeing how the alliance of four scrambled to pick an evictee after Dan won the Veto. Dan grabbed Keesha and whispered, "Who do you want to go home?" Keesha replied Ollie and Dan made sure that Memphis and Renny knew how to vote. I guess it was an obvious choice for them though.

(S10E21) "Dan has gone from the sidelines to calling all the plays, leaving the house in utter chaos." - Julie Chen
So here we are at the big live double eviction show of the season in the
Big Brother 10 house. With the recent events in the house, it's a show no
BB fan dare miss. The double evictions are great because we expect them and, even though the hamsters know there's one a season, they're always taken a bit off guard when it actually comes. Don't you love a good jaw drop?
Read on past the jump for the full review of this special double eviction show.

(
S10E18) "Anything else I could do for you, I would do for you." -April to Dan
Once again,
Dan the Man with the Master Plan is the swing vote at eviction time. Renny nominated April and Jerry on Sunday, her target being April from Arizona. However, Dan has no personal reason to evict her. In fact, if Dan was playing the game strictly listening to his personal feelings, he should evict Jerry who called him a "Judas" last week and said that he "hides behind his cross." Furthermore, April offered Dan, the PoV holder, money on Tuesday before the ceremony.
Okay, what am I missing? Oh yeah, it's that April is a kick-butt player in the
Big Brother 10 house who will pick them off one-by-one with her showmance Ollie at her side.
Find out what went down and who went home after the jump...

(S10E15) "Judas, blah-blah-blah, Judas in my house, blah, Judas, blah-blah-blah, Judas." - Jerry
Okay, I'll admit I paraphrased just a wee bit there. But when not giving one-finger salutes and getting bleeped for vulgar language, this is going to be Jerry's claim to fame in the
Big Brother 10 house. But ... what if ... what if Jerry wins Head of Household this week? After all, he's won veto twice. Does he have it in him?

(
S10E12) "Game on." -- Michelle
And it was game on tonight. The one thing I love about
Big Brother is that just when things are settled, they get turned upside down again. Maybe it's the hamsters backdooring someone who thought himself/herself safe. Maybe it's the underdog winning a big competition. Or maybe it's a once strong alliance getting destroyed. The game is never gradual. It's always extreme. And it's on three nights a week.
Let's get to what happened last night...
