Hey, Brigitte here with TV Squad Daily. I'll be covering the TV stories I find interesting each day, Monday through Friday, in this video blog.
Today on TV Squad Daily:
Pamela Anderson got married again this weekend. Guests were treated to mac-n-cheese. Mmm!
Danny Bonaduce won't be charged for throwing Johnny Fairplay face-first onto a stage and breaking his teeth. The D.A.'s office basically said that Johnny had it coming to him.
It's no secret that I'm a fan of the reality television genre. I think why I'm enamored with reality television on the whole is because I'm a people-watcher type of person. Sort of like Sylar on Heroes, I like to see what makes people tick. And what better television medium is there to watch them tick, scheme, plan, and more than the reality genre?
For me, the villains come in two categories -- the few whose appearances on the shows I've just outright loved because they were thoroughly entertaining even though devious and sneaky, then the ones who irked me to no end and I wanted them to go away.
I don't watch every show out there, but here are my sinister seven of reality television. After all, Spider-Man had his Sinister Six ... I want seven!
Can we all agree that if you're a TV, film, or music star and you are reduced to going on a show called Celebirty Bull Riding, your career has pretty much at its lowest point?
It's Ty Murray's Celebrity Bull RidingChallenge, to be precise, and it premieres tonight at 9 on CMT. The celebs (or "celebs") involved in the six episode show include Leif Garrett, Stephen Baldwin, Vanilla Ice, and Johnny Fairplay from Survivor (the one who lied about his grandmother dying). The object of the show is for the gentlemen to learn how to rides bulls so they can participate in a rodeo in Nashville.
The New York Postreports that Fear Factor host Joe Rogan got into a fist fight with guest Jonathan Baker, who was once a contestant on The Amazing Race and was filming an episode of Rogan's NBC reality game show. The paper reports that during a stunt involving alligators, Baker's Playboy model wife was yelled at by Johnny "Fairplay" Dalton from Survivor (ugh, what a horrible episode of Fear Factorthis must be), and then when Baker tried to stick up for his wife, Rogan punched him a couple of times.
Fear Factor executive producer Matt Kunitz admits there was a confrontation, and there is even a clip of the fight on the Fear Factor site. Check it out (video on upper left). I can't get it to work, but there is audio and pics at Baker's official site.
(P.S. I wonder if this was a real fight, or just publicity for the show, which happens to return on June 13?)
