(S04E20) Twenty episodes in, and I'm chomping at the bit to get to the Tony/Jeanne story. Credit to team
NCIS that they have created an arc that has people waiting anxiously for a resolution. With that in mind, if you would have told me that we were going to get a stand alone episode that didn't get into any of the big seasonal stories, I doubt I would have been excited about it.
But then they went and did this. Bringing McGee's next book, "Rock Hollow," into the picture made for some great scenes. And those scenes were really what sold this one. The actual mystery was interesting, but more for what we learned about McGee and the new book than the actual whodunnit aspect. I thought they gave Landon away right off the bat when he recognized "Thom."

(S02E23) Yes, I know, we're way late with
this. But better late than not at all, right?
Anyway, since everyone's probably watched and digested this
episode by now, let's just go over the interesting stuff:
Looks like Chris O'Donnell's character Finn has
been granted his "Official Annoyingly Cutsey Nickname" by Meredith: McVet. Clever. Anyway, the chemistry
between them is palpable, and it seems like Finn knows he's in the stronger position. He asks Meredith out and she
stammers, saying she's knitting sweaters and not really dating, before she finally comes back and says yes. After their
"date" (more on that below) leaves Meredith a mess, he offers his shower. Again, she stammers and hesitates.
He's confident: she can either shower at his place (upstairs from the vet office) or go home with horse goop all over
her. He won't try to sleep with her. Her choice. Wow. I guess you can be pretty confident when you look like Chris
O'Donnell, right?

The short-lived series
John Doe is airing
on the SciFi Channel beginning next week. John Doe premiered on FOX around the same time as
Firefly, and
suffered a similar fate (John Doe got a full 21 episodes).
John Doe is (obviously) a science fiction series
about a guy who wakes up on an isolated island, knowing pretty much everything about the world except who he is. Doe,
played by
Dominic Purcell, helps
Seattle detectives solve crimes as he searches for his own identity. It premieres on SciFi on January 20 at 9pm EST.
I never saw this series when it first aired, did you? Is it good?
