Attention to Hart Hanson and Barry Josephson, the creators of Bones: your search for a new intern for Temperance is over. I know I know, you wanted Dr. Brennan to have a number of interns over this season so she could find a suitable replacement for Zack Addy, who went a bit batty in the season finale. But, why waste any more of the show's budget when you exampled the perfect replacement in this past week's episode.
Michael Badalucco, who portrayed Scott Starret -- Bones' oldest intern, is the man for the job. For one thing, he is the total opposite of Zack...friendly, outgoing, worldly. He is also a near perfect fit for the Squints who are missing something now that Bones spends most of her time in the field with Booth. Think about it: Cam is the organizer and the bureaucrat; Hodgins is now the "geek" of the group since Zack left; Angela is the free spirit. Having Starret added to the team would give the Squints a calming, fatherly and well-rounded figure who could be their stabilizing source.
Plus, let's face it, Michael Badalucco is just so cuddly. Just like he was in The Practice. So, what do you think? Am I way off here or would he be your choice for Zack's replacement?

I sure as hell didn't (he's on the right in the photo). Of course, it was easy to forget who all of the new Grey's Anatomy interns were once Yang gave them all numbers for names in the season four premiere. Apparently, Steve (or should I say #2?) has been blogging about his experiences at Seattle Grace for over a month now. Don't get too excited though. The blog is essentially a cheap rehash of things that happened over the course of the season - but through Steve's eyes.

When people who have met John Stamos say that he's a nice, charming, down-to-earth guy, they're not kidding. He's so damned charming that twice during my phone conversation with him last week, I told him that since he already had my number, he should call me to talk about TV off-the record. (Hey, the guy said to me both times that he enjoyed the conversation. And we talked about New Jersey -- he did a movie in Freehold once. So I caved.)
It's that likability that has carried his career for the last twenty-five years, from
General Hospital to
Full House to
ER. It's also what he hopes will draw people to
Wedding Wars, an A&E original movie that will air Monday at 9 PM. In the comedy, he plays Shel, a gay party planner who sparks a national pro-gay-marriage movement when he goes on strike while planning the wedding of his brother Ben (Eric Dana).,The strike happens after he finds out Ben wrote an anti-gay marriage speech for his boss, the governor of Maine.
I spoke to Stamos about the movie for The New York Post, but while I had him on the phone, I couldn't resist asking him about
ER, his Uncle Jesse mullet, and his friendship with Howard Stern. The interview is after the jump.

Over the summer, if you recall, ESPN
fired baseball analyst Harold Reynolds for undisclosed reasons. Well, "undisclosed" was the official reason and what they told Reynolds. In fact, word had leaked out that Reynolds was fired after one too many incidents of sexual harassment, and Reynolds himself felt that was the case, even though he never got a chance to defend himself.
Because of this,
Reynolds is suing ESPN for wrongful terminataion and breach of contract. In the lawsuit, Reynolds and his lawyers state that he was fired over a work-related dinner incident with a female intern. Reynolds felt he just gave her an "innocuous hug," and that the intern didn't express discomfort. But the company felt otherwise.

Sean Bartlett wrote an interesting piece for The Boston Phoenix about his experience working as an unpaid intern on The Colbert Report. Apparently Stephen is a pretty decent guy to work for, which is nice to hear. I mean, it would have made the story more interesting if the real Stephen (not the character he plays on TV) was the kind of boss who threw a keyboard at your head or kicked a chair out from under you whenever he got upset, but what can you do? As an intern, Bartlett got to shadow staff members, and even sit in on a writer's meeting and throw out ideas of his own. Oh yeah, and it was Sean who Stephen threatened to fire for putting whole milk in his coffee. You can watch that clip after the jump.

We pick up where we left off with the
last episode. Elliot and Keith are still enjoying all the advantages of sex with no emotional strings attached. This is
continuing to honk off J.D. since he doesn't like Keith, which has nothing at all to do with the fact that J.D. might
still have feelings for Elliot and is jealous.
While that's going on, Kelso is upset because a bird has
flown into the lobby of the hospital. When The Janitor acts like it's no big deal, Kelso explains that birds can be
major carriers of infection, which, of course, is a bad thing in a hospital. The Janitor keeps the bird and bonds with
it, teaching it to do his dirty work for him. The bird goes around stealing pens and causing other assorted mischief.

J.D. is still broken up over
breaking up (heh) with Julie in the last episode. As a possible cure, Carla and Turk suggest he and Elliot commence
with the booty calls. Not with each other, mind you, but each one should pick out one of their interns to have a fling
with....OK I'm going to stop right there. It's one thing to suggest to a morose friend that they hit a bar and take
their chances. It's another thing to say "go pick, from among people you supervise, which one you're going to have
no-strings-attached sex with." Am I right? Doesn't it seem like Carla and Turk were advocating something along the
lines of sexual harassment?
