What do you get when you combine Lost, blog technology, and a fan with a lot of time on his hands? You get Keamy's Paradise.
It's a new blog from a devoted Lost fan and (more specifically) Keamy fan. You're probably wondering to yourself, how much material can you get out of one character who was only on the show for a handful of episodes? Plenty. Take a look above at Keamy as the Burger King! Or how about Keamy as the baby on the cover of Nirvana's Nevermind? Here's Keamy as Vincent Van Gogh and here he is starring in I Dream Of Keamy.
This is one of my favorites, as is this.
This is a great idea. There are several blogs and Twitter accounts that revolve around a character or a show, but a lot of the time it's just words and can get stale pretty quickly. But putting Keamy into these photos is a funny idea. Who knew that Keamy would become the Boba Fett of Lost?

So in the most recent episode of Lost, Christian Shephard told Locke that the only way they can save the island from the invaders is if they, um, move it. Yeah, that's right, move the island. Thanks Doctor Shephard, I'll get right on that.
But viewers thinking that this was some crazy thing that could only happen on television and in the movies are...well, probably right. But in this Popular Mechanics article, the author of the book Physics of the Impossible says that it actually could be done. Michio Kaku says that it sounds like they're going to use the electromagnetic properties of the island and the Casmir Effect to "open a transferable wormhole to different points in time and space."
(Hold on a second while I go take two Advil.)

OK, so we've all seen the latest episode of Lost and we now know who the Oceanic Six are.
Don't we?
There seems to be some confusion among fans as to whether we've seen the last of the six "survivors" (in quotes because who the hell knows what the end game will reveal). Up until last night's episode we saw that Jack, Kate, Hurley, and Sayid definitely survived. Last night we were supposed to find out the last of the Oceanic Six. It was revealed that Sun survived too, but Jin died (possibly on the island, but that's another plot point to be revealed later).

After spending a good deal of my time watching Lost, listening to the official podcast and reading anything I can get my hands on about the show, I feel like my relationship with the show has gotten a little strained.
1. At the beginning, you will blow off your friends to be together.
During the first season of Lost, I couldn't get enough. I cleared Wednesday nights on my schedule and if I had to TiVo it, I avoided anyone I knew who watched it. I didn't want them spoiling anything for me. My relationship with Lost was special.

First off, spectacular season finale. It was exciting, dramatic, gave us answers (and even more questions) and was just beautifully done all around. Easily the best season-ender in the short history of Lost, and one of the best season finales of any series, ever. Every character had something to do (loved Hurley in the van and Locke throwing the knife into Naomi), the editing was phenomenal, the music was just really well done (the ominous drums, the sad music with Charlie dying, etc), and Matthew Fox deserves an Emmy for this episode alone.

Lost co-executive producers Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis are spilling the beans about Season Three, or least hinting at what's to come. Horowitz and Kitsis co-wrote the upcoming Hurley-centric episode "Tricia Tanaka is Dead," along with several other Hurley flashback episodes.
Fans can expect this new episode to be relatively lighter than the intense Other storylines. The writers are also encouraging viewers to pay special attention to the last few minutes of the episode, a bold promise after last week's misleading ABC promos. According to Horowitz and Kitsis, the episode's events have been in the works for a long time.

So, you've seen every single episode of Lost and you own all the DVDs and you consider yourself an expert. Check out these five questions and see if you really know as much as you think you do.
1. What is the name of the only hit song that Charlie's band Driveshaft had?

The writing staff of
Lost might be all about the Jack-Kate-Sawyer love triangle, but Josh Holloway has other ideas. In the
newest issue of Elle, Holloway confides that the cast member he'd most like to take to the polar bear cage is Jorge Garcia. I guess all of those cute nicknames are a form of foreplay. Apparently Garcia's Pillsbury-like physique would make for excellent "cuddling," a notion that I cannot disagree with, but have no desire to dwell on. The issue goes on sale February 6th, and includes details like Holloway's best pickup lines and penchant for elderly Hollywood icons. Whatever floats your boat, Sawyer.

I'm not sure if you've been reading Doc Jensen's Lost theories over at Entertainment Weekly's web site. The guy is obsessed (in a good way), and has come up with some very intriguing and plausible ideas on what is really happening on the island and what all the clues (the numbers, the names, how people are connected, etc) might actually mean. Not sure if I follow his logic with his latest theory though.
He's been thinking about the names and what they could mean in the overall picture. The people behind the show have said that the character names have not been chosen randomly. Each name means something (though I wonder what "Hurley" could mean. Does he vomit a lot? Is he really a baseball player?), and the name that especially intrigues him is the new character, Jacob, who we saw in a quick scene on one of the monitors wearing an eyepatch (if that was him, that is!).

Did the recent death of a main character on
Lost leave you wanting more? Maybe you have your own personal lostaway hit list? If that's the case, you're in good company. Tim Goodman, television writer for the San Francisco Chronicle, not only wants more deaths,
he's got a list. Thirteen picks for who he'd kill, in order, and with a reason for each.
It's a fun article and I find myself in agreement with him on most of this. The one place we disagree is where Hurley is concerned. Goodman says, "You can't kill Hurley. You just can't." I'm perfectly fine with killing Hurley. It's not like he's doing anything on the island anyway. I'm sure Paolo, or the next mysteriously appearing new character, can say "Dude" and whip up a fruit salad. But maybe Hurley getting killed will finally serve as motivation for the characters to actually do something about their situation.

Anyone see Nightline last night? It was basically a commercial for Lost.
I know that the show has sorta steered away from the typical hard news that Ted Koppel used to do in almost every single episode, but this was rather odd. They were talking about the Lost phenomenon as if it was brand new and some cultural force they had to talk about. But it wasn't even that serious, it was really just a fluff piece on the show, the theories, and the web world it has spawned. An informerical for another show on the ABC network (and conveniently timed for a day before tonight's episode airs).
Not that it wasn't interesting to Lost fans. The three producers they had talking about the show (J.J. Abrams, Carleton Cuse, and Damon Lindelof) had some cool tidbits, but I don't think that at this point they're going to add any new fans. And I thought it was odd that an ABC news show would take an entire half hour to talk about their own sci-fi drama.

When you heard about the earthquake yesterday, did you immediately think of the cast and crew of Lost and wonder if they're OK? Yeah, me either. I thought about the people, the tourist attractions, the beautiful coastline, and the bars I've hung out in and around Waikiki.
Boston.com assures us that everyone on the set is fine, and none of the sets were damaged.
How do we know this was a natural earthquake, or even an earthquake at all? Maybe someone in one of the hatches forget to type in all the numbers in time and one of those electro-magnetic mishaps occurred?
(Note: this might be one of the very few times that the post here is much longer than the actual article we're linking to, heh.)

IGN
has some pictures of the new
Lost figurines that will be available in September. They're made by McFarlane and feature characters in scenes from the first season. For instance,
Charlie's sitting on a log writing F-A-T-E on his fingers and
Jack appears to be stumbling out of the jungle, still in his suit. There's also a larger one with
the hatch, and 11-year old boys everywhere will be begging for a
Shannon doll for Christmas.
The dolls look pretty awesome, with a few exceptions. While the details are pretty astounding, the faces of two of the characters seem a little bit off.
Jack sort-of looks like Adam Sandler.
Kate isn't quite right, either.
Locke and
Hurley look pretty rad, though.
Unfortunately, there isn't a Sawyer doll. So Kate and Sawyer are never going to hook up!

Hmmm. I wonder what's
in the chocolate? The Hanso Foundation's latest press release announces a free Apollo Bar giveaway in America, United Kingdom, Australia and Asia between this Thursday and mid-September. In it, the 'creator' of Apollo Bars, M. David Benson, says, "Once people taste my chocolate bar, I think they'll be hooked."
Apollo Bars, for those who are wondering what I'm talking about, are among the food found in the pantry in the hatch on
Lost. And, yes, the giveaway is for real. You can
check here to see if Apollo Bars will be given out for free in your city.

Have you been playing along with the
Lost Experience online game? If so, you're going to be one of the first to learn what the numbers (4-8-15-16-23-42) mean. The string of numbers, of course, appear everywhere and only Hurley seems to know exactly how bad they are. But, why are they bad? Hopefully that question will be answered by the time season three starts. At least, that's what producers are promising.
So far this summer,
Lost gamers have already learned what DHARMA stands for (Department of Heuristics and Research on Material Applications). Producers also promise more information about the Alvar Hanso Foundation.
