The New York Post is reporting that Bravo is editing all of comedian Kathy Griffin's standup specials, because she makes several jokes about Anna Nicole Smith on them.
I actually thought of this when Anna Nicole died, how Kathy Griffin used to joke about Anna Nicole's reality show (and the fact that it would cause Daniel to go into rehab - ouch), how Anna Nicole acted, how she seemed when both of them were guests on The Hollywood Squares. It must be odd when a major part of your act actually dies, tragically and young, and you can't use that material anymore. I'm sure some comedians would still do it, but Griffin doesn't want to because she's genuinely sad about what happened.
Griffin just finished a new special for Bravo titled Everyone Can Suck It.

Here's a new twist in this whole "who is the father of Anna Nicole Smith's baby" story.
Zsa Zsa Gabor's husband, Prince Frederic von Anhalt, is suing Fox News and Bill O'Reilly for at least $10 million. O'Reilly called von Anhalt "a fraud" during his February 20 O'Reilly Factor, referring to von Anhalt's claim that he could be the father of Anna Nicole's baby girl Danielynn. Here's the whole quote:
"Look, this guy's a fraud...we know he's a fraud. But let's - what I want to talk about is - he's done. His credibility is - finished."
The prince says that people are not only sending him e-mails calling him a fraud, he's also getting a lot of dirty looks at the supermarket when he goes grocery shopping. (Wait, a prince goes to the supermarket to get his own groceries?)
I'm not a lawyer, so I have no idea if this case has any merit or not, but I'm glad Bill O'Reilly is getting sued.

I promised myself - promised, promised, promised - that I wouldn't write another story about Anna Nicole Smith. But then I saw this video, and I had to post this. If it stops just one person from watching another second of Entertainment Tonight, then this post is worth it.
The video is from Entertainment Tonight, who had EXCLUSIVE! access to the funeral in the Bahamas (*cough* $$$$$ *cough*), and while we get all of the expected weeping and slow motion and doves being released, we also see various friends and relatives of Anna Nicole taking a shovel and grabbing dirt out of the back of a wheelbarrow. I'm sure this is done at funerals, but it just seems odd to have everyone at the funeral grab the shovel and join in. After a while it seems like less a tribute than just doing some maintenance work at the cemetery.
Pay special attention to the job Anna Nicole's mom does.

"It was wrong for people to portray Anna, they way they did, after she passed away." - Howard K. Stern
Reprimand her mother all you want, but tell me something Howard, is it not wrong to consistently try to make money selling any sound bite you hawk to
Entertainment Tonight? You alone are keeping Anna in the spotlight to be portrayed with exclusive coverage every night since Daniel's death.
It would be speaking too soon if we said that this is the last we will hear of the circus. Since Anna's passing, Howard has stated in court that he has no one to live off of but his parents, it's apparent that he will do anything to make a dollar.

Wow, here's something that was COMPLETELY UNEXPECTED.
Judge Larry Seidlin, who presided over the Anna Nicole hearing/circus last week, might get a regular spot on CBS' Saturday Early Show. One of the show's producers, Michael Rosen, sent Judge Seidlin a letter the other day (obtained by The Sun-Sentinel), saying that they want to hire him for a new segment on the show:
"I have been extremely impressed by your compassion in the Anna Nicole case and I would love to discuss with you the idea of being our judge on a new segment, `Morning Justice.' It would be a semi-regular segment in which you would resolve the ethical and legal questions of our viewers who send in the issues troubling them."

That's the claim she's making in a joke e-mail she sent to staffers at CNN Headline News. She's been so fed up with all of the people coming forward to claim they might be the father (the list so far includes Howard K. Stern, Larry Birkhead, Zsa Zsa Gabor's husband, an ex who is in jail and J. Howard Marshall, the old guy she married years ago who might have frozen his sperm) so she finally declared that she was the father of the baby.
This would be funny if it wasn't for the fact that Grace has been covering the damn story from every single angle several times since Anna Nicole Smith died.
It's funny that she would say she's the father of the baby, since most people describe her as being a "mother."

By now you would have heard about the exclusive interview that Howard K. Stern has granted to
Entertainment Tonight. If you had a chance to catch the interview, I have one thing to ask you.
Is he fake crying?
My gut instinct is to say that he is in fact being genuine with his tears, and that he's been put through the emotional ringer for the last six months. There is no doubt in my mind that witnessing deaths and births around him is an extremely trying time since he's taken on the roles as Anna's legal advisor, father, husband and now widow.
Yet...

Our friends over at TMZ.com are reporting that Anna Nicole Smith has collapsed at the Seminole, FL Hard Rock Hotel and Casino and that CPR was peformed on her, with a breathing apparatus put down on throat. She has been taken to the hospital.
And CNN has just reported the same thing. No word yet on what has happened to her or what condition's she's in. She's been under stress lately, with giving birth, her son Daniel dying and the fight she's having with an ex who says her new baby is his. Stay tuned for more here and at TMZ.com...
(UPDATE: A couple of wire services, including the AP, are reporting that Anna Nicole has passed away. Entertainment Tonight is also reporting it on their web site, as are CNN and MSNBC.)Posted Sep 27th 2006 10:35AM by Joel Keller

Just when you think that Anna Nicole Smith's life couldn't get any more convoluted, something happens to make things look even more complicated. Last night, Howard K. Stern, Smith's long-time lawyer, went on
Larry King Live to discuss the
death of Smith's son Daniel, and revealed to King that he is the father of her newborn baby girl. According to
this article, Stern and Smith decided to move to the Bahamas to start a new life away from the media, and that he and Smith intend to marry "at some point." They decided to name their daughter Dannie Lynn Hope.
Stern also gave some details of Daniel Smith's last hours. The day after he arrived in Nassau, he complained that he was really tired, then Anna Nicole soon noticed Daniel wasn't breathing. As resuscitation efforts were being done, "She stayed there and we were at the foot of the bed and she was hugging Daniel's legs," said Stern. "And she was praying to Jesus and she was telling Jesus to take her and not take Daniel." Daniel's exact cause of death is
still being investigated.Posted Sep 11th 2006 11:01AM by Joel Keller

Daniel Smith, the twenty-year-old son of Anna Nicole Smith, was found dead yesterday in the Bahamas hospital where his mother had just had a baby.
According to the AP, there is currently no word on how he passed away; Anna Nicole's attorney, Howard K. Stern, says the cause is under investigation.
Remember that Daniel was a prominent player in Anna Nicole's reality series
The Anna Nicole Show, so he's not unfamiliar to TV viewers. Of course, the death of such a young man, compared with the wacky life his mother leads, is going to make people speculate right away that drugs were involved. But at this point, no one knows the cause.
By the way, the picture above was taken by the AP in 1999, when Daniel was 13.
