(S03E08) "Bla
ir and Serena at war again? Yummy!" - Gossip Girl
I disagree with Gossip Girl on this. Blair and Serena at war again? Same old. Same old. Once again, Blair and Serena are at odds while wanting to be friends. Can we move on?
I'm tired of Blair and Serena breaking up, making up, fighting, backstabbing one another, not understanding one another, etc. I hope the writers planned for the duo to not cross paths for a few episodes so we can get some quiet time before they fight some more and then make up.

(S03E07) "Time to get to work ruling the Kingdom." - Jenny
It was only a matter of time before Jenny started acting like a real Queen Bee. Mind you, even after this week's events, Jenny is still nowhere near as evil as Blair was, but she is definitely not Little J anymore.
While Jenny ruled her kingdom, Chuck tried to do the same with the launch of his new club. He wanted to launch his club honestly and by himself. As expected, things didn't go as planned, but that doesn't mean he isn't happy with the end product, eh?

(S03E06) "What are friends for?" - Vanessa to Dan
Thanks to
Gossip Girl,
Firefly's Gina Torres is back on TV! It was about time that this fantastic actress returned to the small screen. Torres plays Vanessa's mother, Gabriela, and is set to appear in a few episodes. This new character finally allowed the viewers to know more about Vanessa, who's been a background character/sidekick for the past seasons.
As it was posted here before, I wasn't able to watch the episode live but allowed you to post your comments in a temp post. Here we go with my review, which includes some of the comments you left.

(S03E05) "Ah the Wedding March.... here comes the awkward pause." - Gossip GirlAs you can see from the picture above, Sonic Youth appeared on this very special episode of
Gossip Girl, spoiled by the official episode title, and performed their 1986 single "
Star Power."
As expected, Rufus and Lily hit a few bumps in the road before making the episode title come true. The episode also featured the return of Georgina, Scott, and Bree, which equals to blackmail, lies and drama. Three words that work very well in the world of Gossip Girl.

(S03E04) "How can I rule over people I don't understand?" - BlairThe main storyline this week on
Gossip Girl may have been the introduction of Hilary Duff's character Olivia "Kate" Burke, a movie star who comes to NYU in the hopes to get a normal college experience, but I much preferred Blair's storyline.
Blair is still at the bottom of the food chain at NYU and doesn't know how to get Queen B status amongst people she doesn't know. Thanks to Blair spiraling down to Constance to bring order back, and to a very clever plan mastered by Chuck to bring his girlfriend back to reality, we were treated to interesting scenes, including one that had Dorotea speaking her mind to Blair!

We really haven't seen that much of Jenny Humphrey, aka Little J, on this season of
Gossip Girl, but hopefully that will change. Actor
Kevin Zegers is set to join the Upper East Siders, and I'm sure he'll stir up plenty of trouble.
His rep says he'll be joining the show for a multi-episode arc as bad-boy Damien (why are bad boys always named Damien?), who will get tangled up with Jenny (Taylor Momsen).
Zegers has been working steadily in the movie and TV business since the early 1990s, in shows like
House, M.D. and
Smallville, and in movies like
The Jane Austen Book Club and
Transamerica, in which he played transexual Felicity Huffman's son Toby. And if you look closely, you'll recognize him as Josh Framm from the
Air Bud movies.
In short, not only is Zegers cute as all get out, but he's talented, as well. A rare combo these days, and I can't wait to see him on
Gossip Girl.

(S03E03) "Please tell me it was Blair and not Georgina." - Vanessa and Serena in unison to Dan
Dan may be
on a new path since he arrived at NYU, but he hasn't changed enough to be Blair-worthy. Funny that both girls hoped that he slept with Blair and not Georgina. I get that they prefer Blair over Georgina even if both can be rather evil, but Dan and Blair will happen when pigs fly. Now I have to try to remove that mental picture of Blair and Dan making out from my brain!
In any case, this week's episode of
Gossip Girl continued the Dan and Georgina hooking up storyline, put Chuck and Blair at odds, and put Carter and Serena at odds, while having Scott make some true and false revelations.

(S03E02) The scene we've been waiting for all summer long has finally aired: Blair discovering that
Georgina is her college roommate! Even if the scene fell flat a tiny bit because it quickly cut to commercials after Georgina announced she was coming to NYU and was Blair's roommate, the rest of the episode
Gossip Girl delivered the evil and backstabbing we've grown to love from both ladies. I do not wish any new TV show to get canceled -- Michelle Trachtenberg is on NBC's
Mercy -- but admit that it would be great to have Georgina stick around for most of the season, eh?

(S03E01) "Welcome back, Upper Eastsiders." - Gossip GirlOur favorite backstabbing, lying, messed-up and cheating characters are back for a third season of more drama, mysteries, backstabbing, lying and cheating!
A few weeks have passed since
the season's finale events, and the season premiere gives us a rundown on where each character stands while introducing new character Bree, played by
Privileged's JoAnna Garcia, and featuring returns from Scott and Carter, both recurring throughout the first half of the season and maybe more.
Did the
Gossip Girl premiere deliver the goods? My take on it coming up!

So legendary New York art rockers
Sonic Youth will appear on Gossip Girl on Oct. 12. And last year, front man Thurston Moore recorded a version of The Ramones' "Sheena is A Punk Rocker" with Be Your Own Pet's Jemina Pearl for the show.
What the hell is going on here? Since when do bands like Sonic Youth appear on and record songs for shows like
Gossip Girl?
I know what some of you are thinking: The Flaming Lips showed up on the original
Beverly Hills 90210 back in the '90s, teaching walking jockstrap Steve Sanders that alternative music can really "rock the house." But that was different. The Lips were riding the publicity buzz of their first breakout hit, "She Don't Use Jelly." Sonic Youth doesn't seem to be on any sort of publicity tour, and they certainly don't need to court the teen market to keep making records. So here's the explanation: It turns out Moore and wife/bassist Kim Gordon are big fans of
Gossip Girl.
