Palin causes the 2012 apocalypse, not the movie, the actual apocalypse
Saturday Night Live recut the trailer for the apocalyptic schlock-fest during last weekend's Joseph-Gordon Levitt episode featuring Sarah Palin as the new president in 2012 and well, just watch it and wait until you see who she picked as her running mate. That grumbling sound in the distance just might have been the apocalypse hungry for action.
And before all you Palin-ites getting your complaining fingers ready for typing, you should note that this parody video takes a much bigger swipe at the people who claim Palin and her ilk will bring about the end of the world as we know it. Remember that saying "You can't judge a book by its cover"? The same goes for blog posts and comedy sketches, even if they don't technically have "covers."

Hannity gets caught by Jon Stewart ... and apologizes?!?

Once again people, I'm forced to ask the obvious question: what the hell is going on here? Have we crossed over into the bizarro world? Is up now down? Has black become white? Did Lou Dobbs just announce that he's leaving CNN to take over the host chair of G4's Attack of the Show?
The other day, Jon Stewart called out Sean Hannity and his self titled show for what appeared to be doctored footage of Michelle Bachmann's recent health care rally dubbed the "Super Bowl of Freedom" (does that have anything to do with the Tostidos Fiesta Bowl of Human Rights?) spliced together with images from Glenn Beck's "9/12 Rally" to make the crowd look bigger.

Glenn Beck don't come cheap
If your town wants to honor Glenn Beck with his own day, you better check the cushions in the couch for change and start taking up a collection. The mayor of Mount Vernon, Wash. recently gave Glenn Beck his own day, and the taxpayers will now have to fork over more than $17,000, most of which was for police overtime.
Where are the teabaggers when you actually need them to protest unfair taxation without representation?
Is the White House right about Fox News?
You may have heard that the White House seems to have declared war on Fox News. President Obama has even gone as far as not appearing on one of the Fox News Sunday morning shows even though he appeared on every other network that morning. Now other White House spokespeople are openly saying that the network can't be trusted. What do you think?
Imus returned to TV this week
Just as one broadcasting legend faces his slow downfall, this week also marked the triumphant return of another to the airwaves. Don Imus, MSNBC's former morning show man who was ousted from his TV and radio time slots for racially charged comments he made about the Rutgers' women's basketball team, returned to TV on Monday on the Fox Business Channel.
The morning shock jock wasted no time at his new home by getting back to his old tricks, lambasting everyone in the biz from David Letterman to his new co-worker Glenn Beck. And the move seems to be paying off since Fox Business scored their biggest ratings hit since ... well, ever.
Do you think Imus should be back on the air?
Beck can't explain his own explanation about Obama
Every time I watch a TV talking head like Glenn Beck, I usually walk away with the same thought I had every time I walked out of my economics class in college: "What the hell were they talking about?" That's because there isn't anything journalistic or scientific about their pontifications. It's all "gut talk," particularly Beck who throws around more wild and unfocused theories about the ongoing war between "us vs. them" than a homeless preacher in a bus station. Chances are if you actually sat down and simply asked him "what did you mean by (x)", he would give you a 1,700 word answer that answered everything but the question you asked him.

Seven shows that need funny commentators more than American Idol
American Idol's choice of Ellen DeGeneres as a judge replacement threw everyone for a loop, even schlubs like me who don't watch the show. It's not that she's not talented, successful or funny. It's just an odd choice, putting a comedian on the show that takes its goal of crushing losers' dreams on live television so seriously. It would evoke the same reaction from me if they picked Andrew "Dice" Clay as the new judge, if the Diceman was talented, successful or funny.
And besides, why do they need humor and comedy on such an otherwise serious show? There are lots of humorless, vapid and downright boring shows that are crying out for comedic interjection.

Did Fox make Beck back off?
Even though the sudden pull out from several sponsors hasn't caused Fox to prematurely eject Glenn Beck from his time slot, he was suspiciously absent from the airwaves this week. Some suggest this Beck-free week wasn't just a much needed vacation for the host, or for the viewer for that matter.
TVNewser spoke to some Fox insiders who claim the network ordered the silver haired devil to take a week off so some of the heat over his advertising boycott could die down.

Glenn Beck running out of sponsors
When a company does business with the likes of Glenn Beck, the saying "What you see is what you get" could not be more appropriate to the situation. That's only because "Crazy is as crazy does" really isn't a saying.
Some of the show's sponsors are learning that lesson a little late in the game now that they have started pulling their ads from Glenn Beck's Fox News show in the wake of comments he made regarding President Obama's rampant racism.
