I just saw a trailer for District 9 in front of Funny People, but I'm not sure if it completely grabbed me. Cinematical says otherwise though. They discuss that movie, as well as Lovely Bones and The Hobbit when they spent an evening with Peter Jackson recently.
I also saw the trailer recently for Aliens in the Attic. It looked... forgettable. Apparently, I'm not wrong.
I really don't know why we would need a fourth Pirates of the Caribbean movie, but apparently Hollywood thinks we do, and Rob Marshall may direct it.
When I went to see Funny People last night, the ticket taker said, "Are you sure you want to see that movie? It's not good." I really enjoyed it, and so did Cinematical. What did you think?
A lot of people will say (and I might have even said at one point) that Inside the Actors Studio is running out of guests to interview. When a show about film talks to Billy Joel, you know something is wrong. But it's not that they're running out of the appropriate people, they're just choosing to go with certain people.
Judd Apatow probably deserves to be there since he's the big name in movie comedy right now. He's going to talk to James Lipton on Monday. Here's the part where he talks about directing sex scenes, hair-waxing, and getting thrown out of the car by his wife on the way to her gynecologist. This could be the dirtiest Actors Studio yet.

I've never been a fan of all-nighters, and flat-out refused to do them in college. But movies about all-nighters are always fun. Check out the latest Cinematical Seven: Movies That Pull an All-Nighter.
I saw Borat the night it opened and thought it was absolutely hilarious. So why do I have absolutely zero interest in seeing Bruno? Cinematical bit the bullet: you can read their review here.
The summer of 1981 was the first summer I was alive, so I probably wasn't watching too many movies. However, there were some great ones that summer, like Raiders of the Lost Ark and Fox and the Hound! See what else came out when Cinematical continues to examine their favorite summers.
I'm really looking forward to the new Judd Apatow movie, Funny People. You can check out the new red-band trailer here, plus a bonus Adam Sandler prank call circa 1991.
One of the most eagerly awaited new NBC fall shows is Yo Teach ... ! Well, no. Actually, the show doesn't really exist. This is a promo for the new Judd Apatow movie Funny People. But you can imagine this show existing on television, maybe on Friday nights on ABC sometime in the mid-90s, right before Boy Meets World.
Here's the web site for the show, which has more video and looks a lot like the site for a real show. That's Bo Burnham as the student.

I don't have anything against Ali Larter as an actress, but I really hate her character(s) on Heroes,. It doesn't look like I'll like her character in Obsessed much more.
Sure, there's 24 hours of A Christmas Story, but how about a fireside viewing of L.A. Confidential instead? Cinematical Seven takes a look at unconventional holiday movies.
I really wanted the mysterious new Will Smith movie, Seven Pounds, to be good. Unfortunately, it does not look like I'll be getting my wish. Read Cinematical's review here.
Want to be a part of the filming of Funny People, Judd Apatow's next movie? Cinematical tells you how to live the dream.
