You may have heard that the White House seems to have declared war on Fox News. President Obama has even gone as far as not appearing on one of the Fox News Sunday morning shows even though he appeared on every other network that morning. Now other White House spokespeople are openly saying that the network can't be trusted.

Even though the sudden pull out from several sponsors hasn't caused Fox to prematurely eject Glenn Beck from his time slot, he was suspiciously absent from the airwaves this week.

Some suggest this Beck-free week wasn't just a much needed vacation for the host, or for the viewer for that matter.

TVNewser spoke to some Fox insiders who claim the network ordered the silver haired devil to take a week off so some of the heat over his advertising boycott could die down.

When a company does business with the likes of Glenn Beck, the saying "What you see is what you get" could not be more appropriate to the situation.

That's only because "Crazy is as crazy does" really isn't a saying.

Some of the show's sponsors are learning that lesson a little late in the game now that they have started pulling their ads from Glenn Beck's Fox News show in the wake of comments he made regarding President Obama's rampant racism.

Morning news shows are a goldmine of cringe-inducing moments and epic fail goodness. The title alone makes me laugh because only half of it is accurate due to the fact that it airs in the morning.

By far the unintentionally funniest show is that morning cup of crazy on Fox News, Fox and Friends. They truly cover news stories that no one else does as their on-air promos suggest because no one in their right mind would consider it news. I'm finally starting to understand Walter Cronkite's distrust of the 24-hour news network model: you'll call anything news to fill time.

Hosts Steve Doocy, Gretchen Carlson and Brian Kilmeade actually took President Barack Obama to task for ordering a Budweiser instead of an American-brewed beer during his recent "Beer Summit" with Professor Henry Louis Gates, Jr. and Sgt. James Crowley.

Apparently, 91 year-old actor Ernest Borgnine forgot that he was wearing a microphone on his chest during an interview on Fox and Friends this morning.

Host Steve Doocy asked him how he stayed so healthy and young-looking when he's in his 90s, and assumed it was because he didn't eat red meat. At first Borgnine says that he can't tell Doocy, but when they want to know, Borgnine leans over to Doocy and says ... well, you have to check out the clip after the jump to see exactly what Borgnine says; I don't want to spoil it for you, but it got laughs from everyone on the Fox and Friends set. Please feel free to insert your own McHale's Navy and/or "sea men" joke here.

In related news, Borgnine said in an interview with ABC News Radio that when he was in the Navy he used to visit hookers for only $2.00!

On Wednesday morning's edition of Fox and Friends, the Fox News channel aired altered photos of two New York Times reporters to retaliate against a Times Saturday edition piece which pointed out some "ominous trends" in the show's ratings.

Co-hosts Steve Doocy and Brian Kilmeade showed the photos which portrayed Jacques Steinberg with yellow teeth, a wider chin, and big ears, and Times television editor Steven Reddicliffe with the same yellow smile and a receding hairline. The caricatures seem to be done with Adobe Photoshop (tm) tools.

Quick answer: no.

Long answer: probably not.

It's always hard to make predictions when it comes to television. A show you think is going to bomb becomes a giant hit that produces several spinoffs (*cough* CSI *cough*). It's even harder with television news, since the landscape is changing so fast these days, with the web playing a bigger and bigger role. But that doesn't stop The Boston Herald from predicting that in five years, Fox and Friends anchor Alisyn Camerota will be asked to take over for Katie Couric on The CBS Evening News.

I have no idea what made comedian Lee Camp insult FOX News the way he did over the weekend, because the video after the jump only has the end of the segment. Maybe he'll go on CNN or MSNBC to explain himself.

Camp was part of a discussion on Fox and Friends Weekend. He was the liberal comedian going up against a conservative comedian, talking politics. At the end of the segment, he asked new host Clayton Morris if he could take a moment to say something, and Morris said sure, and that's when Camp hit Fox News, wondering if the channel was just a "parade of propaganda."

On a side note, it's really great to see Morris again. He was one of the hosts on the syndicated morning show The Daily Buzz (not seen in my part of the country anymore, damn it), then went to a local station in Philadelphia. Looks like he's one of the new permanent hosts of the weekend edition of Fox and Friends, along with Ainsley Earhardt.

TV Week is reporting that CNN will make an official annoucement today about the fate of their morning show American Morning and the show's anchors, Miles O'Brien and Soledad O'Brien (from now on referred to as "The O'Briens.")

The two anchors are leaving the CNN program (ratings are down) and they are expected to be replaced by John Roberts and Kiran Chetry. If you're not sure about that name, Kiran Chetry is a woman who used to be on FOX News Channel's Fox & Friends. John Roberts came over to CNN last year and is, of course, a man.

So you love FOX's news and sports programming, but watching it on your tiny television screen just kind of leaves you unfulfilled, doesn't it? Well, this is the time to rejoice, FOXheads, because News Corp has taken over the gigantic Panasonic Astrovision screen in New York's Times Square and will be airing three hours of live programming every day, including full hours of Fox and Friends, FOX Report with Shepard Smith and FOX5's Good Day New York. Sports fans will be treated to live broadcasts of Major League Baseball's League Championship and World Series, the Daytona 500, and football coverage from the NFL and the College Bowl series. News Corp took over access of the screen from NBC on October 1. Someday I hope to have enough money to put my own content on that screen. I'm thinking 24 hours a day of myself having dental work performed.
