Five years after the end of
The X-Files, David Duchovny is back on the small screen! Okay, he did guest star here and there since then but coming this Monday, he is back as a regular on a series.
Duchovny will play Hank Moody, a self-destructive writer, in Showtime's
Californication. TV fans who are used to seeing Duchovny portray
The X-Files' Fox Mulder and haven't seen much of his other projects will be placed outside of their comfort zone when watching him play Hank Moody, especially if they tune in
Californication without knowing what it's about.

After watching "
Getting Married,"
Desperate Housewives' third season finale, most viewers were wondering if Edie survived her suicide attempt. Even if the episode didn't leave us with a wide number of cliffhangers, we did ask ourselves other questions such as how long Gaby and Victor would stay married, how long before someone finds out Bree is not pregnant, how would Lynette cope with her illness, and how would Susan and Mike's marriage turn out to be. We have some answers for you!

Sheesh. You'd think that winning an Emmy would buy a cast some time off. Not so for the crew over at Dunder Mifflin. Michael has
been covering the webisode mystery since July. But that isn't all that NBC had the cast up to this summer. While clicking around Comcast's On Demand service today I came across the NBC fall preview. Between promos for their various shows, there were eight little scenes from The Office. Everyone gets to play, but the focus is mostly on Dwight, Pam, and Jim. If you are a fan of the show, you will enjoy it. I'll not spoil it for you by quoting, but there are some classic Dwight lines. And thanks to the power of the internet, you won't even need Comcast to see it. Watch the video, sans previews, after the jump.

We'll have full coverage of all the network upfronts next week, but here's a little preview of the news we might hear.
NBC has given the green light to Tina Fey's show about a late night variety show (a lot like Aaron Sorkin's
Studio 60, which has also gotten the green light) and the dramas
Friday Night Lights,
Heroes, and
Raines (with Jeff Goldblum), as well as the comedies
Community Service,
20 Good Years, and
The Singles Table.
The loser in all this? Andy Richter. His
Andy Barker, P.I. (produced by Conan O'Brien) has been turned down by the network.
