What celeb do you look like?

cuba goodingI came across the site myheritage.com today, and it has a fun little program where you can upload a picture of yourself and it will tell you what celebrity you resemble. I say it's "fun" not because it's accurate, but because it's grossly inaccurate, at least it was in my case. It actually told me I look like Cuba Gooding, Jr., Greta Garbo, and professional skeptic James Randi. Last I checked I looked nothing like any of these people, and I'm also fairly certain I'm not black, or a bald white man with a beard. I have to admit I was somewhat flattered by the Greta Garbo comparison, though. Anyway, I invite our readers to check it out and report back. I'd like to know if you guys get results that are better than what I got.

The X-Files: Space

x-files(S01E09) Real events inspired this episode. Chris Carter says he wrote Space after seeing the real 'face on Mars' photograph. According to the experts over at The X-Files wiki, this episode was meant to be a cheaply made one with lots of NASA footage but the construction of the command center pushed them over budget and made Space the most expensive episode of the season. Whoops.

F/X gets creative with marketing Black.White

ice cube myspaceWhile HBO is tapping into Google Maps to promote the upcoming season of The Sopranos, F/X is taking its promotions to MySpace. Starting today through February 26th, F/X is offering a new music video by Ice Cube to MySpace members (it's also available on the show's official website). He's the executive producer on the race-swapping documentary, Black.White, and sings the title song, Race Card. After Feb. 26th, the video will also be available on AOL, Yahoo!, TVGuide.com, and BlackAmericaWeb.com and it will also be available cell phone users of Sprint Nextel and Boost Mobile networks.

F/X found huge success with its MySpace page for the Carver mystery on Nip/Tuck last season and is hoping for the same "viral" marketing in the case of Black.White, which premieres March 8 at 10 pm.

The A-Team: Together Again

A British television series, called Bring Back The..., has managed to reunite one of the greatest teams of 80's supersleuths: The A-Team. The reunion special will air on Channel 4 in Britain sometime next year, and reunite Mr. T (B.A. Baracus), Dirk Benedict (Faceman) and Dwight Schultz (Howling Mad Murdoch). Unfortunately, the great George Peppard passed away in 1994, so obviously Hannibal will only be shown in clips. I can only hope this special somehow makes it over to the newly announced Sleuth cable channel from NBC. Dun dadun dun. Dun dun, dun. I'm too excited to even describe, let me know what you think.
