Sarah Brown's out: will Claudia be killed off General Hospital?

sarah_brown_general_hospitalIt's a tough day for Daytime Emmy-winning divas. It's the last episode of Guiding Light, which means Kim Zimmer and her four Emmys are available for a new gig. And now the news comes out that Sarah Brown is leaving General Hospital. Sarah Tweeted her exit yesterday, saying, "It's been nice being back at GH, but it's time for the character to come to an end, at least for me."

Actually, Sarah -- a three-time Emmy winner -- had a tough go-round this time on General Hospital. She returned to a familiar setting, but instead of resuming the role she originated, Carly Corinthos, she was playing Mafia princess Claudia Zacchara. (Laura Wright is the current Carly.)

The Daily Show: August 22 - 24, 2006

The Daily ShowI've been away without Internet or TV for a while (I'm surprised I didn't die from boredom), so instead of doing four thorough, very late write-ups, I'm going to do some really, really quick coverage on the last week of The Daily Show.

First of all, it was Rob Corddry's last week as a correspondent. Since TDS didn't prepare a special send-off, Rob released some balloons (like, three) and brought in a hilarious collection of his best moments. I never realized just how often he did that "I mean coooome oooon" thing until the montage. Man, I'm really going to miss Rob... and his shaved tuft of hair. It's like an island in a sea of shiny. I hope he finds a lot of success in his new projects. Godspeed, Mr. Corddry!
