Sam Champion falls down, goes boom

Sam Champion

Sam Champion almost died on Good Morning America this morning, doing a segment about the great outdoors. Damn Earth Day! He was trying to make his way down a cliff. Captain Planet still defends the Earth

Captain PlanetI've never seen the cable channel Boomerang. It wasn't on the cable system (Adelphia) at my old apartment, and it's not on my new one (Comcast). But I do remember Captain Planet. I was never a big fan of the show, but I can understand its appeal. The New York Times has a piece on how Boomerang is showing two, 13 episode marathons today to commemorate Earth Day.

The marathon will include the sixth season of the show, which was shown overseas but until now was never seen in the United States.
