What You Missed Last Night: Chelsea Handler ticked off at Neil Patrick Harris
It's really great to work at Chelsea Lately
Side note: Handler looks different. Not just the clothes that make her look like a waiter, but her hairstyle. She looks like another celebrity and I can't think of which one.
Mad Men debuts huge, but almost gets beat by a couple of Kardashians
Sometimes ratings can paint such interesting portraits of the American audience. Mad Men set a series high and ranked as the top show on cable Sunday with its third season premiere. And yet, its victory on the night was only 0.1 million viewers over the premiere of E!s Kourtney & Khloe Take Miami. Those K&K numbers make it the new highest premiere on E! since The Anna Nicole Show premiered. A record briefly held by Kendra's premiere earlier this summer.
So one the one hand we have one of the most deservedly acclaimed television shows of the past decade, and right there with it, running neck and neck, is yet another reality spin-off featuring rich people who are only famous because ... they're famous. TV's Joel McHale riffing with Rifftrax on Red Dawn
Actor, comedian and classically trained suit wearer Joel McHale has taken his talent for riffing to the next level. The star of The Soup and the upcoming NBC sitcom Community has joined forces with Michael J. Nelson's Rifftrax.com to provide a running comedy commentary for the perennial craptastic 80s classic Red Dawn. Rifftrax, for those who may not be familiar with the site and are therefore in no way cool, is the comedy website that provides downloadable MP3s of funny movie commentaries featuring the voices and talents of the minds behind Mystery Science Theater 3000 including Nelson, Bill Corbett and Kevin Murphy. It is the only reason I still own all three Matrix films, that and the fact that my desk is missing part of a leg.

At The Movies host to also host new version of GUTS
I know what you're thinking: Roger Ebert is going to host a kid's game show? That's what he's going to do for his return to weekly television? Nah, it's not Roger. And it's not co-host Richard Roeper either. Both are leaving the syndicated movie review show. It's actually Ben Lyons, son of movie critic Jeffrey Lyons and one of the replacements for Ebert & Roeper (along with Ben Mankiewicz). Lyons is going to host an updated version of the classic Nickelodeon game show GUTS. It will now be called My Family's Got GUTS. Because just GUTS would have sounded stupid?
