Those kid cable network stars just can't stay away from their kid cable networks. Except for the ones who go off and do not-so-kid friendly fare, have you seen the leaked peek at Hilary Duff's new film role. Or the ones who do kid-friendly stuff, like making new ones *cough*Jamie Lynn Spears*cough*. Well, maybe we can still get
Zoey 1+1=3. There's certainly plenty of young mothers out there looking for a positive role model, and the elder Spears isn't the best candidate so maybe Jamie Lynn will do better.
But I digress. These are nice boys. More than a year after their popular series ended,
Drake Bell and Josh Peck will reunite for a Drake & Josh Christmas movie. The plot revolves around the duo working as mall Santa and helper and promising a foster care girl the "best Christmas ever." The film begins airing this July which means it's going to be really freaking hot in the beard and Santa gear. I wonder if Miranda Cosgrove will sneak away from
iCarly and appear in it. I'm still waiting for that reunion special of
You Can't Do That on Television! I hear Alanis Morissette isn't doing much these days, and everyone knows slime never goes bad, or stops being funny.

I only caught the end of the
Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards last night, but I did see it in time to catch
Chris Rock win the Wannabe Award (like a Lifetime Acheivement Award). The best part was when his daughter ran up the
stairs to be on stage with her dad. When he told the audience to 'say no to steroids', she said "no" into the
microphone. What a cutie. He also made a joke about Todd Bridges, which got some adult laughs but flew right over those
kids' heads. Other than that, I heard a lot of screaming kids. They sounded like they had fun.
Before I list
the winners, I just have to say that it's funny how kids can humble you. We like to stick our noses in the air about
'quality' television shows and actors, but kids just like what they like. Here are some of the winners:

One of
the stars of
Drake and Josh, Drake Bell, was
seriously injured in a car crash on
Thursday evening. He and a passenger were waiting in a left-turn lane when a car hit them head-on. Bell's injuries are
serious but not life-threatening... They include a fractured neck, a broken jaw, facial lacerations, and knocked-out
teeth. He will reportedly undergo plastic and dental surgery soon. Bell was still in the process of shooting the fourth
season of
Drake and Josh.
It's absolutely terrifying to hear about
someone getting so badly hurt in an accident when they weren't being reckless. In case you don't know who he is
(because you aren't subjected daily to pre-teen programming like I am),
Drake and
Josh is a really popular show on Nickelodeon (not to mention one of the slightly-watchable ones)... Hopefully,
he recovers and can return to work. I know a lot of fans are devastated.
