Whoopi takes on Bill O'Reilly (dressed as Dracula)

One last Halloween post. Bill O'Reilly appeared on The View on Friday, dressed as Dracula. It's a basic costume, but it suits him. Of course, the talk turned to the Fox News vs. the White House story, and then O'Reilly, for some bizarre reason, calls Whoopi "jealous" because he has a best-selling book. But what's equally odd is Whoopi's response, where she lists the awards she has won. I think that has been boiling inside her for a while (that part happens about 7:48 in).

And what's with all the weird mugging and looking around that Whoopi is doing? She's actually kinda of an odd person, isn't she?

In2TV launches Halloween Channel

draculaIf you're looking for some spooky online viewing, you should check out the recently-launched Halloween Channel from AOL's In2TV. The free online channel features some old school horror films like House of Wax, The Mummy, Horror of Dracula and Frankenstein Must Be Destroyed. There are also some spooky cartoons featuring Bugs Bunny, Batman, The Flintstones and Casper, as well as episodes of Freddy's Nightmares, The Nightmare Room, and Night Visions. Fans should also check out the Heroes and Horror section of the site for more scary stuff, including Godzilla, which I suppose isn't really all that scary, but still, Godzilla will never be not cool.

AMC's Monsterfest celebrates 10th anniversary

MonsterfestMy question to AMC is: how many times can a person watch The Fly in one week? Looking at your schedule, I see it's on at least three times. And it's not even the classic original, it's the 1986 remake (and it's sequel, The Fly II).

It's time for AMC's annual Monsterfest. This year (October 22-31) is the 10th Anniversary of the horror and monster marathon. There are certainly some great movies here, such as the Universal Dracula, Wolf Man, Mummy, and Frankenstein flicks, but even those can get a little boring when you're showing them 9000 times during the week. Do you not have enough great horror/monster movies in your library? Am I really going to have to sit through Gothika, Rodan, Island Of The Burning Doomed(!), and Pinata: Survival Island?

You're showing Them!, one of the great monster flicks of the 50s, but why are you showing it only once (October 24 at 7:30am) when you're showing Children of the Corn four times? Gah.
